One of the streams and videos I've done that's always been the most well received, was my Streets Agent lore video. I've always wanted to do more of these, and often get asked when I'm going to do the next one, but hadn't gotten around or been motivated to do so.  But I've decided this year will be the year of the Goldeneye lore series!

Currently, the Streets Agent episode is labelled "Episode 1" but I'm going to change this soon to a "pilot" episode, a little separate from the main series.  This pilot was made before Streets 1:11 happened, so I want to make Episode 10, or the "Season 1 finale" to be the Streets Agent Redux, produced a little more thoughtfully and professionally.

Frigate Secret Agent

Generally, these lore stories begin once a level had stabilized after the initial period of WRs frequently being broken over the first few years of the game's release.  In the case of Frigate SA, this point is at the 1:08 tied by BBWJ.

I know enough about the 107s 106, 105 and certainly from that point until my 102.  But after that it gets a bit hazy and I need some help or research done.  Mainly;

- I need to know the dates "Henning" "claimed to have gotten" "his WRs" on Frigate SA
- I could use the dates that myself and Ace posted fake Frigate 101s in the WR topic (they might still be there or might not?)  Mine was probably from Nov or Dec 2007.  Unsure about Ace's though.
- Did Clemens ever falsely claim a Frigate SA 101?  If so, I need dates and details on that one.
- Pettit - am I misremembering, or did he post a 1:00 endscreen before he actually "got" 1:00?  What about 1:01?  I remember there being some sketchiness with Pettit beyond the current 0:59 endscreen situation, what was it?
- Can someone who knows where to find it, post the 0:59 endscreen video?

The most important thing is having the dates of "Henning's" fake WRs, because this episode will have to do a bit of revisionist history talking about what was the actual WR at the time, compared to what the claimed WR was at the time.

Also i don't know if it makes sense for this series, but i think a DLTK history would be awesome. Beating all 20 levels is one of the-elite's greatest accomplishments and there were so many awesome tricks and strategies as well as pure skill used to get from the initial handful of beatable levels to eventually conquering them all.

Yeah I invented that route, I forget if it was in 2007 or closer to 2010.  But the theory was, that according to a Henrik post, the engine room hostage escapes faster than the typical first downstairs hostage.  Something like 3 seconds faster, going by their peak speeds.  So the theory was that that route, while about 1-2 seconds slower, had better hostage odds.

This never actually worked out in practice and no one afaik has any (legit) PR on the rankings using this route.  Henning was the first to "get a WR" with it.  I actually completely forgot about this route but it's another important piece of the lore of the level.

There are no videos for 1:01 because I never claimed 1:01. The upload date for "1:00" should be the time I claimed to have got the time. 10th of January in 2011 that is.

The route wasn't new at the time, so I'm quite positive that route was invented in 2007. I did actually get a legit 1:04 using that route. Illu has a 1:04 with it as well, so it does have potential.

Alex gets famous 1:06, lots to talk about there.  Wouter ties 1 day later.


Ok HERE is where it gets complicated:


1:03 - Bryan Bosshardt (28.10.05)*

Wouter posts a 1:05, which at the time was the known untied, on November 6th https://forums.the-elite.net/index.php?topic=1084.msg206392#msg206392

1:05 WOULD have been Wouter's last untied WR, but it wasn't actually a WR, so his last Untied WR becomes Frigate 00A 1:12 on Oct 27; and Frigate 0;23 on Sept 24.

I get 1:04 which stands as the "best proven WR" until Boss finally gets his videos made in Jan 2007.  I'll have to find the date for my 1:04 but it was late 2005/early 2006.


Boss' 1:03 vid finally gets made, but I quickly get my revenge with 1:02 in February 2007.  Ace ties it in October.

I then post a fake 1:01 and other things in November 2007 for about a day.  The WR is reverted to 1:02.

Clem ties 1:02 in April 2009 (1:02 stood way longer than I remember.)  In Oct 2009, he finally gets 1:01.

Henning posts his fake 1:00 in January 2011.  It "stands" untied for a year and a half until I expose him.  The WR goes back to 1:01 DC untied.

Pettit comes along and ties 1:01 after 4 years in 2013.  Then he gets 1:00 in February 2014.  The 0:59 endscreen comes a little later.



Anything else I'm missing?

Episode 01 is up!

People seemed to enjoy it, so I'm pretty keen about that.

I need to start thinking about Episode 02 now and do it towards the end of the February.

I definitely want to do a Runway 00A episode, but no point in doing it until 29 if not 28 happens.  Dam 00 Agent is a potential one, the subtitle writes itself... "Marc's Dam Vitamin D Deficiency" or "Marcus Stryker and the Mystery of the Missing Sunlight;" but again, waiting for someone to tie 155 might be better.

Depot Agent might be the best call for Episode 02.  If things follow their current trend, there will be a lot of people playing Depot Agent over the next week.  It could be topical, trendy, and the warp and evolution from "maxed" 26 to 23 is definitely episode worthy.

Any other ideas for Episode 02?

Depot Agent sounds like a great follow up Episode.

Waiting some months for Runway 00a to climax seems like a good idea.

Other Levels I would love to see:

- Surface 2 Agent (strat development, left-field untieds, 46 comms Damage etc.)
- Aztec Agent (legendary players, stories and myths, loads of content)
- Caverns Secret Agent (strat development, comeback WRs, Mouser UWR, insanity, Australian Stacked, Matt Cook)

Does anyone have the video of Wouter's b1 00A 107 with King K Rool theme music?  I'm planning on doing episode 3 of speedlore on Tuesday or Wednesday night about Bunker 1 00 Agent, and this video is a NECESSARY piece of the story.

If anyone has it, PLEASE post it or let me know!  If it no longer exists online, I can maybe "remake" it but it's not quite the same from a historical perspective.

Things i've learned from last episode:

1. Goose eventually DID get the Bunker 00A WR - loool I totally forgot/never knew this, even after having seen so many streams back then

2. Gooses era of Bunker streams are still my personal favorites. Man that was some great stuff. I remember laughing hysterically at some of the mental breakdowns (mostly created by Boris)

3. Regardless of all the optimization it still looks like a stage where new strats/optimization could be invented

2. Not much effort has been put into 1:01.
3. 1:01 is probably easier than I think.*
