Yeah I wonder what the iternary is going to be for the rest of the year. I swear I recall Goose saying a few months ago he doesn't intend to repeat any level this year. Which means of course a lore of every level would be covered by end of year. I would think Statue would make sense for Summer doing all 3 at once. Archives, maybe Agent, eventually a boring 4 level would have to be done. Egypt certainly would make sense to do all 3. And I recall Goose saying wanting to do S2 00 and ending off Dam 00. Just my speculation.

Yeah I should have possibly reiterated it or posted to my Youtube community page, but I like to take June "off" of SpeedLore... last year I did Aztec in 3 parts, so it leaked into June.  But with 10 eps in 12 months, there is some time to spare.

The remaining levels are, Statue (all), Egypt (all), Surface 2 (likely 00 Agent), Archives (yikes), and Dam (00 Agent).  I am planning on doing Dam 00 Agent last, in November, and leaning towards doing Surface 2 00 Agent next.

There is also a PD SpeedLore episode in the works.  And I want to do some lore-type specials.. mainly going over GreasePig's Champions progression while stopping at each new champion and showing the record that got them to #1; and also possibly a 100% or Agent "WR Progression" loretype or otherwise video.

Not sure if you've considered this as a possible video, but I think covering the "Boring Four" levels all in one lore could be interesting. Perhaps any of those levels by themselves couldn't make a full lore (ie. Runway Agent considering 24/23/22 are the only real significant records and 22 has been around for ages), but together I think it could make an interesting storyline, culminating in the modern day with Karl untying Dam and Archives.

I've been on a fair break from SpeedLore; however, we should do another episode before the end of the month.  I'm thinking Statue is the perfect level for this time of the year.  I haven't compiled notes yet, so I would be grateful towards any who share info or key runs...

- Clark gets 226s
- Trent finds the Trevshot
- Boss eventually finesses these to 220
- IP ties SA/00A, Goose ties Agent 220
- Elite goes 0 for 72 on 219 pace FRs (will do statistical analysis on this) (Bauer, Mouser... who else had a bunch of 219 fails?)
- Cervone randomly completes the 219s
- Boss finishes with 219 A, a few months later (a truly remarkable speedrun)
- Lovins & Bauer worth mentioning regarding 219s
- Boss takes break from GE, gets passed by Clem/Ace... then "returns from dead" with 218 00A (a TRULY, remarkable speedrun)
- years go by, not much happens (aside from Ace & Bozon tying 219 Agent, Bozon bingo square gets filled)
- I vividly remember watching Marcus' stream when Jimmy posted his 218 SA UWR, and MR was shocked
- MR & Goose streaming Statue... "try to affect the FR", etc
- eventually the mysterious Bauer returns, gets 218 Agent (insanity)
- Statue snowballs pretty hard... what caused this to happen?/make the level easier? 2.x, 0.1s route changes, anything else? SR becomes a master, ties 218 Agent
- discuss any dream of 217 (still not even been failed once in history)

Anything else to bring up or discuss?  Any other important runs?  Some Mouser 219 fails from 2006 would be really great to have if we can dig them up... or any "failed" pace runs that happened before the WR.

If you take Sterling out of the equation, it's actually insane how dominate I was. Wouter/Clemens etc. had no answer or didn't care about the level for the most part.

If I recall, Dr Doak mentioned that Statue was the most likely level to have a "break" or clip on it, due to it being a testing ground, and perhaps also due to all the unique angles on the map.

Maybe that will open the door to sub-217 someday

Does anyone have a vid of dying on a possible WR pace, or even any decent pace?  I know it's happened to me for sure, but it requires shotgun guards to die from a grenade explosion, then respawn, and shoot you on the way back.  It'd be interesting to show the rare case where you can die on Statue 00A.

And any 217 fail or the lowest possible 218 fail would be awesome too!

Goose: this isn't directly related to your above questions, but Wodahs has a vid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBUJaIxtdqo) from his stream where he talks about achieving fast pace at the corner before the Trev area based on a music cue. Then, coincidentally, in his next run he gets what he calls "the fastest pace anyone's ever done". The run then ends at the Trev shot. I had a quick check of all the 2:18's on the rankings and only Jimmy Bauer's 00A 2:18 had the music change just slightly after the corner. Wodahs's 00A 2:18 is right at the corner.

Presumably (IMHO) this Wodahs run is a good example of a 2:17 pace and near perfect first half of the run. Might not be useful for the lore but surely it's worth a look for anyone interested in Statue 2:17 pace.

Imagine you finally do get that cooked 2:17 pace and get no fr at the end, then realize it could take 20 or more runs like that to actually get a 2:17. Really puts into perspective how insane 2:17 would be. Imagine being 0 for 72 on 2:17... could be years before we ever see even 2:17 on 00.

I'm thinking about doing a somewhat shorter Lore episode this week...

Basically I have 4 levels that remain... Surface 2 (00A), Egypt (all), Archives (all), and Dam (00A).

Surface 2 00A I want to do as a produced video instead of a SpeedLore... like a Summoning Salt style video detailing Clemens' 10 year untied reign on the stage.

Archives and Egypt, I'm saving... I have a couple of dates in late Nov/early Dec where I might be able to stream a lot, and kind of want to do them as back to back SpeedLores.

Dam 00A I've always planned on being the "finale" this year.

So I could supplant what "should" be Surface 2 00A lore this month, with something else... any suggestions?

I was thinking some "easy" levels to do a quick lore on might be; Bunker 1 SA, Streets SA/00A, Depot SA, Depot 00A, Train SA, Caverns 00A... any input on what you'd like to see would be appreciated 👍

I think Bunker 1 SA would be a good pick as it's simple, easy to understand for non-players what to do, and people may remember Ace's recent untied. Including his 0:21 missed warp is an easy lead and foreshadowing of the 0:20 as well.

Nice and easy? How about Runway Agent? Before you laugh I think it has a few cool talking points:
- It was probably the first cheat everyone unlocked.
- By unlocking cheats you could argue it was kind of early version of speedrunning.
- could talk about if it is even possible to get a time under 22 seconds
- could mix it up with SA too

I like Bunker 1 SA the most with Train SA as a second choice. Bunker 1 SA has lots of familiar faces getting untieds: Wouter, Eise, Sterling, Randy, Karl, Jimbo, Clemens, and Ace. It's a good snapshot of the community's history with early days, Jimbo achieving an untied during Boss' dominant years, Clemens and Ace rivalry, and finally concluding with Ace being crazy talented and completing an untied known to be possible 10 years after 21 occurred. Also notable is that 2.X saves significant time by opening doors at the start, but it could be decades before someone masters it to the extent needed to execute a run at 19/20 pace. Titles could be "Not So Hapless Jimbo/Jimbo's Shining Moment and Ace's White Whale."

Train SA might be legendary almost to the extent of Streets Agent with Lockwood. Obvious title would be "Marc's Dishwashing Degeneracy." Being a longer level and having a super long list of untieds, it might be harder to do a quicker lore episode on it.

Agreed with Flechr, and I'm sure a lot of others would too. Each of the Boring 4 individually would only have a handful of relevant videos unless you're really reaching for material. The 4 of them together work nicely as they were the beginner WRs, especially moreso during the Twitch era, and the combo of them can further emphasize why Karl's recent destruction was such a big deal. Doing them altogether would have a much nicer flow than doing them as a trio with their respective levels (ie: Arch A with SA/00A).

Oh I guess not. B1 SA needs a second pause to pull out the key analyzer. Ace doesn't do that pause on this run and just runs through the glass (albeit getting stuck on it), saving 2 seconds on a normal run.
