There are like 5 billion people living in poverty, hundreds of millions living under oppressive rule where basic necessities are not a daily guarantee, and tens of millions living in places where they could just straight up get killed any day. Where are the tears for them?
Oh that's right, only Syria matters right now because CNN airs
like totally heart wrenching and awful

interviews and pictures of Syrian children and we definitely should consider only our feelings regarding immigration policy instead of the lives of people within our borders (the ONLY people the constitution and bill of rights protects). But Assad is le boogeyman, so lets continue to arm terrorists in the area for years and ensure that Syria is a never ending war torn shithole so that we can blame it on Assad. Then we can create the perfect guilt trip scenario to convince the populations of the West to willingly accept further decreases in the stability and sovereignty of their home nations in exchange for "saving" <1% of the total "under direct threat" population in the world.
Are you starting to see a trend here?
Lets fundamentally change the landscape of our immigration environment to change some problem by <1% (Refugees and asylum seekers)
Lets fundamentally change the landscape of our energy and regulatory environment to change some problem by <1% (Global temperature rates of change)
Lets fundamentally change the landscape of our welfare and benefits environment to change some problem by <1% (Poverty and inner city turmoil)
Lets fundamentally change the landscape of our college enrollment and employment process to change some problem by <1% (Distrubution of women and minorities)
Lets fundamentally change the landscape of our competitive sporting and legal framework to change some problem by <1% (Transgenders)
Lets fundamentally change the landscape of our X and Y and Z so that we can FEEL GOOD about something, giving no thought to long term ramifications.
It's really funny how all of these don't actually do anything to fix anything (often times making the problem worse), yet ALL of them manage to attack the foundations of western civilization or our specific culture at some level.
