Important Concern
« on: February 01, 2017, 09:50:04 am »
There seems to be some kind of rumour going around in the elite that I am a good GoldenEye player. I would like to clear this up by stating that I am by no means a good player. I mean, really take a good look at my timespage and how long it takes for me to achieve mediocre times.

Thankyou for your attention :nesquik:

Jonathan Hotinski;

- 16th best player in the world (out of 7 billion people, which equates to 99.9999998 percentile);
- Has over 5000 points;
- Managed a GE fantasy team that won in 2015;
- Tutored one of his fantasy team players (Ace) so well that Ace's team won the following year;
- Has achieved multiple world records (excluding the "boring" 4)
- Has insane times like Control Agent 3:57, Statue 219s, Caverns 00A 1:34, S1 00A 1:49, etc);
- Achieved all of Streets 1:12, Surface 2 0:47, Depot 0:24 before the current champion did;
- Despite the fact Jono started speedrunning in 2014, he is ranked HIGHER than Eise (a player who has been speedrunning since 1999) and Wouter Jansen, the latter of whom is regarded as one of the GOAT GE players;
- Sub 20 minutes Agent time. You know you're good when your Agent time is below 20 minutes. Not even Marc, the guy who has the best untied in the game, has sub 20 minutes according to the rankings;
- Is the 3rd best Australian player in the world;
- Has managed to get insane times like Facility Agent 0:44 live on stream, showing how he can handle the pressure of live runs;
- Ties the GREAT Karl Jobst on Silo Agent, a highly-intensive OCB level;
- Has sub 26 SA time and pretty much a sub 30 00 Agent time which is nuts;
- ...a lot more (101 total reasons if you buy the book and read 'em)

Still claims he is not a good GoldenEye player. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :nesquik: :kappa:

When I'm not good at something, but I'm still highly ranked or more successful than the general populace, I less so think "I'm not good" and moreso think "everyone else is bad."

It's a far better mentality.
"I want to be defined by the things that I love. Not the things I'm afraid of, or the things that haunt me in the middle of the night.  I just think that, you are what you love."  Taylor Swift, Daylight.
