I would like to put together a timeline of the administration side of the elite from its origins to now.
The `creation date` listed for our the-elite.net domain name will be 15 years ago in just about a month. This is getting to be a long time for a site to be in continuous operation on the web. It has certainly changed in some ways since 2002, but has also retained certain characteristics of the earlier times that have probably helped keep it in operation. Many other sites created around the same time have either ceased to exist or fallen into obscurity. N64 High Scores, anyone?
The types of things I am looking for are where the community existed at various times and the people that made those various things happen.
I am looking for very specific details wherever they are known: exact dates, dollar amounts, companies, urls, usage statistics, etc. Any code that ran on or supported the elite sites is also of interest, whether a homemade program or something licensed.
Example of something I would like to see reported:
<Ngamer> I purchased the domain name speedrunwiki.com on 18 May 2006 with the goal of creating an index of elite bios and important events. I installed the MediaWiki software and occasionally run updates. We started at version X and are now on version Y of MediaWiki. The domain name costs me $10.99 per year and I have also paid $9.99 per month since May 2006 to host the site at Dreamhost. I have invited 42 users to have accounts on this same hosting service for various elite-related services, such as the image uploading site. (list other relevant subdomains) It is mostly set-it-and-forget-it; I haven't really done much with this in the last 5 years or so. Early on, I recruited a lot of editors to help with various sections. (list some of these editors) Dreamhost gives me some basic usage statistics [insert here].

Examples of parts of the elite I am interested in knowing these types of details for:
- the-elite.net
- ge rankings
- pd rankings
- geocities
- all the different forums locations and dates
- speedrunwiki
- wr database
- other elite-related games (timesplitters, etc.)
- other sites that are dead or I am just forgetting
---
Examples of things I'm not directly looking for, but would appreciate anyway:
- Dates and names of forum moderators
- Dates and names of proof moderators
These may belong in some kind of other history more focused on the participants in the site, but it doesn't hurt to share if you know it.
---
I expect that I will get most of the information from just a couple sources, but I will try to forward this to as many stakeholders as I can find to get good coverage.
