Can we get an email sent to all rankings account members

Before/During the fantasy league, if we could try to resurrect some old players I think it'd be pretty cool.

I'm thinking to just send a an email to all accounts which lets them know we're still going; maybe include the discord link, some statistics, highlighted runs, new strats etc.

Could perhaps only send to people who haven't logged in since 'specified date'.

Advantages:

Some old players will return and be chill
More community interactivity (which i think helps retain players)

Disadvantage:

They get an email, read it then go 'nah'

I wonder how many AOL, Yahoo, and Hotmail addresses would be on that list

Derek mentioned wanting to do a mailing list at one point but it was never initiated.  Something like this could be done but it would probably be a good idea to use a mailing list provider both for spam-safety compliance and deliverability.

From my experience only about 1/3 of addresses in the database are still active but heck, it wouldn't hurt.  I'm all for trying this.

Someone write up the message you'd like sent and post it here, if you do so me and Thingy (maybe) will get this sent out.

I'll get right on getting the email content ready; I'm thinking a small intro, link to discord/ranks and briefly what it is (the AIM of 2017 should work  ) and a few updates; dam52 will happen, archives15 is possible etc or something like that. Won't be too long.

If possible, I'd like to look at making our emails having a nicer look - i'll look for some nice html templates; maybe could use this as a testbed before pushing to 'welcome' emails etc. [this should prob be in the dev topic but whatever].

*Also a link to the forums, perhaps for newer registered players too; feels like quite a few join but little speak.
