The Good:- I struggled a lot with Dam 1:59 (roughly 11 years ago - 15ish 2:00s) but randomly decided to play a bit after I got it as the WR. Only 15 minutes into a session I choked the last alarm badly on this insane run. I knew it was going to be 1:58 when I hit the bungee jump and became heartbroken thinking it'd take dozens of hours to replicate a similar run. I kept going and 5 more minutes later I got my actual 1:58, on an unexpected mediocre run. The run seemed so subpar and coupled with my minimal activity at the time (despite explaining why)
it ignited some
controversy.
- Getting lucky with Dam SA 1:16 and other cropped times / bad quality videos.

- Healthy luck on a number of records. B2 00A 0:58 (ridiculous 3s skip at the time), Train 1:01, Jungle SA 0:53, B2 00A 0:54 (this one was super lucky because the night before it I got a 0:56 missed warp) are my most prominent skips.
- Clutched a really 21:51 for any% WR from 22:13. I honestly wasn't expecting to do better than like 22:05 and imagined sub 22 would be a tedious grind. Despite having no commentary it has around 75k views on YouTube, so that's nice as well.
- Intense rivalry with Clemens in 2008 and 2010 fueled so much desire to keep playing the game and grinding for records. Just imagine one of us never played and how dull it'd have been having little competition.
The Bad:- I spent a good 10 hours going for Runway SA 0:22 back in early 2013 when the record was still untied. I had roughly 10 22 fails and a handful of flat 23s. I wasn't really playing smart with the battery which explains the unusual number of fails, but regardless it sucks I never got the time. It just seems like a record I should have gotten ages ago alongside Depot 0:40/0:47.
- Well over a hundred hours on Bunker 1 SA since 0:21 yet no untied.
This one hurts. I'm aware I never spent much time with riskier strats (trainshot 3rd cam for example) but I was failing 20s quite often and just never completed an ideal run despite having really good consistency.
- Ditto for Facility SA 0:51. Heartbreaker fail in January 2014. Never thought I would pile up ~15 more 52s after that.
- Frigate SA speed-bully. I mean, come on. Villa PA pales in comparison.
- AceLuck on roughly the same number of ClemLuck affected levels. Clemens' law of balances holds true that you get unlucky as much as you get lucky (or vice versa). Some of the absurd dupes I've had include 21 Fac 00A 53s, 17 Dam 156s, 13 B1 103s, ~11 Silo 109s, ~10 Train 150s. Control 359 took forever when it was a WR. Honestly speaking though this shouldn't be *too* unexpected at a top level.
- Power going off RIGHT after I achieved Egypt SA 0:46 in 2008 as a WR and hit the endscreen to show the time. I was using direct capture so the video got corrupted. Skedar SA 1:24 was another untied WR affected by technical issues in 2007. Ironically Taka achieved 1:24 before me and also had his video screwed up.

- Shitty luck when going for Caverns A 1:01. In one session I had 2 101 paces in a row to the lift.
- Having never achieved the Runway 00A, Statue 00A or Surface 2 00A WRs. The last one hits hard because I had both 1:31 and 1:32 fails missing the mine throw only, back when 1:32 was an untied WR by Boss in 2006.
