My assumption is that using emulators (like pj64) are not allowed for posting times based on what I read in the things considered cheating:

indirectly-- "Using flashcarts (Everdrive 64, etc) or gamesharks"

Directly--"Misrepresenting an emulator or other banned version run as a run achieved on an N64 console" ---If you don't claim it to be from a real n64, then what?

I'm just asking cuz I thought this might be a fun thing to do over the winter break. I would never be great but it would be fun to be able to post on leaderboards kind of thing and track it(show my brother "hey look it's me").

Either way it's fine.

You're right!

All of our scores are achieved on unmodified Nintendo 64s without cheating devices or codes.

The game plays drastically differently on an emulator -- the difference is so large that it's even hard to recommend it for serious practice.

You can ask your neighbors if they have the N64 console in their basement and borrow it if you want to give it a try for real.  The GE game was pretty popular so shouldn't be too hard to find.

Well I have one, the issue is that it has trouble reading cartridges, and the TV i can use is tiny..... but also I wouldn't have anyway to record the gameplay(as would be easy with fraps or whatever on a computer)

i.e. I'm not serious enough about this lol as I would prefer quality and ease of access to play and upload which I do not have.
