Author Topic: 2018 NFL Playoff Predictions Thread (Read 1076 times)

The field is now SET! Make your predictions here, and after the playoffs are over the winner will be selected. I will use a points system similar to March Madness brackets to determine the winner.

For each correct prediction, you will receive the following number of points:

Wildcard Round - 100 Points
Divisional Round - 100 Points
Championship Round - 200 Points
Super Bowl - 400 Points

A perfect bracket would be 1600 points. Ties will be settled by closest Super Bowl final score prediction, so be sure to post that too! You can pred MVP but it wont count to anything.

REMINDER:

The lowest seed of the winning wildcard teams plays the top seed in the divisional round. The Chiefs would be playing the Patriots if they beat the Titans and the Jags win, but they play the Steelers if they win and the Bills win, etc.

Despite being the first Super Bowl home game for the Vikings, they are not the Giants. Patriots over Vikings 34-27. Who else is MVP but Tom Brady.

Four different people have predicted both the Vikings and Saints to win next weekend. Do they get automatic points or do they only get points if the Vikings win, since the Saints aren't even facing the Eagles?

What is considered a correct prediction? Like in my case, I predicted correctly 3 of the winning teams in the divisional round, but I had the Pats facing the Chiefs. I would at least think some sort of points should be awarded for correctly guessing the winning team despite the matchup not being right.

I'm pretty sure a pick like that will count. Just like in March Madness, you still get a point if your Final 4 team wins, but against someone you hadn't predicted.

I think the only questionable case was if the Saints would have won. No one ever responded when I asked before. My guess is it would probably have still given those who picked both Saints and Vikings points. Seems wrong though. Luckily, we don't have to worry about it.
