The 2018 Minnesota Meet (Memorial Day Weekend May 25-May 28)
« on: January 14, 2018, 07:27:01 pm »
It's been far too long since our last actual Minnesota meet (November 2014), and I've messaged the normal crowd about doing one over Memorial Day weekend. Seems like things are good to go. Alex isn't 100%, Boss is MIA for now, but Dan/Clemens/Koch are good to go.

Friday May 25th to Monday May 28th, Monday being a federal holiday we should all have off.

Dan has final say obv, but wondering if anyone else is interested since anyone can fly to MSP.

I am likely able to attend. I'm currently living in Indiana but will be moving back to Minnesota in May. I'm not 100% sure that I'll be moving earlier than the 25th but it is likely.

I'm shocked tbh. Josh we planned this for mid 2016 but it looks like a 2020 endeavour. :(

Hey everyone.
I am looking forward to this weekend. It should be a lot of fun. Sounds like 7 people are coming which means it'll be a full house but nothing too unmanageable.
Jimbo normally heads up the group shopping trip so we will have food for the weekend and my wife Miranda is down for preparing some meals.
I do have two young daughters so as long as everyone is respectful and not screaming out obscenities we should be fine.
What time is everyone planning on arriving? What transportation needs to happen? (Both to and from the house) This will help me plan out a timeline.
It sounds like Jimbo and I are picking up Lark from the airport around 4pm. (Good call on the rush hour timeslot smh  :rollin: )
Does everyone else have transportation taken care of / know where they are going?

Feel free to text myself or Jimbo if you need the address.

Sweet. Boss, Clemens, Koch, Jimbo are local/driving so that's everyone. I am trying to work from home Friday so anytime that day should work.

The meet was great, had a good run at mario party 2 and won 2 out of 3 matches despite choking like a bitch. Depot was depot but thats not surprising. It was super sick to see a frigate 00 completion of any kind, let alone a high level time from Boss to exorcise his past demons on the level. Huge thanks to Dan and Miranda for hosting us the whole weekend and especially for helping to cook some real food for us. I wish I could have said final goodbye's to everyone but I'm sure I will see all of you again either at MOAM or some future meet.
