You're right, Scott. I apologise for responding negatively like I did. Taking out a poor day on you isn't very fair, for any of us. I appreciate that you brought it up; Honestly, I think I'm just subconsciously afraid to make mistakes in this position, because I know a bunch of community members would love any reason to oust me instead of support me doing this, and I do enjoy doing this for a bunch of reasons.
You would all be immensely missed if you retired.
I dunno about that.
Also, I didn't choose to aesthetically improve the proof call to hide behind it, I improved it simply because it looks a LOT better, and may encourage more people to read it. I enjoy the process of making the post after doing all the watching/information-gathering over the course of the month. Ace creating an application that gathers info of 60+ pointers and does automatic hyperlinking is a HUGE time save at the end of the month too (yes, I do still keep updated with new players and RTA times
).
As for Joris' 1:10, seeing mw's post there made me react like "I SWEAR it had audio when I watched it", but I may have watched it on mute by accident on another platform not even realising. I try to be very astute and analytical when reviewing videos; clearly this one made it past me.
This raises another thing I've been considering; Joris' timespage. While I know 60+ is the barrier, the habits in which he posts his times and times with videos is highly infuriating as a rankings moderator and supporter of integrity. At first I thought it was a troll account: a good player's alt. His game play sometimes looks like a good player playing poorer on purpose. I was unsure, so I did an IP search and examined his profile a bit closer and find it to be legitimate. This month he had posted a Depot Agent 0:26 which is currently still worth 52 points, and I'm adding it to February's call. I've considered calling most or all of his other point-worthy times but at this point I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. In my opinion, there are simply too many points unproven. If anyone disagrees with me I'd like to start a conversation on this.
As for Austin's situation here, my lack of impartiality towards Ace and his forum posts lately caused me to see past that particular post and ignore it; that's a mistake on my part. I intend to do better in the future. I had missed this trend of Austin posting unproven (semi-beefy) times and I'm thankful that Ace and the community at large are also watching such trends as they occur. This is valuable stuff. I have retroactively added each of these times to January's proof call:
