I just started playing some Cradle today (usually avoid it, possibly my least favorite level) and after a new PB of 0:53 using the Trev suicide strat I got this run just 3-4 attempts later.

I'm confused if this time would/should count.  I know it's completely irrel but should I count this 0:49 as my actual PB?  Killed in action because I messed up the hole ( :nesquik:) and fell to my death yet the time saved.  I'm assuming since the time saved (I seem to recall hearing it actually ends the run shortly after dropping into the hole) that it would count as a legit run?

Here it is:

Appreciate it eastwood. As luck would have it, it doesn’t even matter anymore since I couldn’t let a sloppy PB stand so I went back to the 64 tonight and duped the 49..then hit a 48..and then a 47 at which point I decided to end on a high note.

It is NOT a legit run because you can't go to the credits.
On Cradle the run is only legit by landing on the pad and being taken by the helicopter. You can't skip forward to the credits if you die.

Precisely why I felt I should ask.  I don’t intend to continue boner’ing the platform but I’d rather know ahead of time if it happens again on a better time that it wouldn’t stand.  When it happened I was instantly confused how to feel about the run..loved the 4sec PB cut and a saved time I like for now, but it also didn’t feel any good.

Was much more careful on the 47 getting down to the platform.

IMO it does not count because the mission status is 'Killed in Action', not 'Completed'.

The time saved and the objections were completed but you didn't complete the mission.

Hilarious that there can be times that save, but aren't counted as a record, and times that don't save, but are counted as a record
