In the photographs I see online, the vast majority of LodgeNet controllers seem to have the GameCube style control stick.
But some number of them have an original style stick.
It seems that the GameCube style stick from a LodgeNet controller may actually be superior to the old style one that will inevitably wear down.
This guy seems pretty satisfied, and so do the others in that thread. However,
one poster thinks it is too sensitive for GE/PD.
The main instigator says this:
the total range is a little bit to high for my liking with it's ~111 steps in each direction opposed to the original ~84.
But suggests that can be remedied with a software modification on the controller stick board.
If they are the original N64 style stick and brand new, you'll have no trouble moving 100+ of them in time. If they're the GameCube style one you should try to start with just a couple to get an estimate on time to do the mod and see how appropriate the result is for various games. If it's seriously good you'll also have no trouble moving 100+ of them even if the resale price has to increase due to the labor costs. I see someone in that thread suggests attaching a custom chip (around $0.50) to each one so you can install a programmable deadzone as well. Again, if it is THAT GOOD, you'll be able to sell 100+ without any issue.
