Well think about it , you have to disarm more guards to get enough ammo for the laptop to kill an extra sniper, combined with a more accurate throw which results in less obj 1 completions and generally less lag at the warp. At a time save of only 1-ish seconds or maybe even less which can be gained back through the run just taking more risks or a more Yolo ending.
I completely understand the reasoning behind this topic, but I think a better example could have been used. For example, doing the strafe changes on jungle for 2nd drone when all right strafe is cake, just that nobody really looked into it till karl played jungle.
