Hello all. I've been working on finishing up my 10 part beginner's guide video series, and am at the point where I'm ready to start collecting advice and input from other players for Part 10. The plan for part 10 is to gather as many different points of advice from as many higher ranked players as I possibly can, and present all of the advice to show a variety of opinions and viewpoints on the game and speedrunning it.
My baseline for accepting input is current or former Top 100 players (in either game!), not to say that lower ranked players don't have any advice to offer, but I don't want the video to be 2 hours long.
The advice can cover any topic you'd like to emphasize or bring up, it doesn't have to be broad or anything, although of course you're welcome to provide broad advice.
If you'd like to just submit it via a reply to this thread, try to keep it to a paragraph or so, and I'll read it out during the video.
If you stream regulalry, I will be trying to stop by your stream to hear what you have to say and hopefully clip it, as it'll mean more if said by you as opposed to read out by me.
Also feel free to reach out to me via Discord, a couple people already did this back when I released the first batch of videos. You can writeup a solid paragraph or so, or if possible, you can send me a 30ish second audio clip of you reading the advice, or we can voice chat and I'll figure out how to record you.
The wider variety of views I can present in this video the better; it makes the series seem less like the thoughts of just one guy and instead have many differing views for new (and old) players to ruminate on and decide what fits them best.
If your advice is submitted but not included, it's likely because someone said something very similar already and I don't want to make the video too long.
