Again, because I was bored, and (unless it's in the forums) I couldn't find players by world records, I made a list of some metrics I find interesting. The point is not to punish new players unnecessarily (although that does help in not having to edit this frequently) but just for the sake of setting goals and general intrigue (mainly on my behalf.)
Now, before I begin, I'm a new person to this forum with no real interest in playing as of now. But, from my outsider's perspective, this seems like a nice and storied (albiet troll-like at times) community. This is basically because I got bored, so went through the past wr table every 1st of January.
Also, I am English, so I'm writing the date: DD/MM/YYYY. I just want to stress this to avoid confusion.
If I got any of these wrong, or missed someone in the honourable mentions or actual rankings, please feel free to point it out. Although I should mention I did this based on a couple hours of research using the wr table database, and ONLY this.
So, for the disclaimers:
Spoiler
Firstly: they are not accurate according to points, both lists are solely by amount of world records (untied or tied with draws in total wr count being broken by untied count for both lists) held at the same time on the dates mentioned.
Secondly: These are only accurate so far as The-Elite is. I know this sounds obvious, but I have no idea if the lists are accurate if you factor in other sites as well at the times stated.
Thirdly: When talking by year, I am solely meaning who held the record by the turn of the year (1st of January from 1999 to 2019.)
Finally, when talking about the peaks, some of them are likely not date-specific to when they first achieved it but are still accurate numbers wise; whereas others are. This is simply because I stopped being bored before doing this.
Onto the topic of listing:
