We had a snow day back when I was in 6th grade. After that, we had a delay of about an hour back in senior (junior) year for freezing rain/sleet. This was because it was the first snowfall of the season, and peoeple weren't accustomed to snow yet. During Spring Break of that same year, we had an arctic chill come through most of Washington, and covered everything with 2 feet of snow, and sub zero temperatures the whole time. Had this chill dumped it's snow one day later, I would have missed school for a day. All the roads were cleaned up, and I got to walk to school in -20 conditions, yay. Apparently, CSU also got dumped on (year before I went there, ie my senior year), and they closed school for 3 days. Roofs collapsed, cars crashed, snowballs smashed (on people's faces). Since my time at CSU, we've had random winter snowfalls, but I'm still awaiting the 2 feet of snow someday on a WEEKDAY.
