When you shoot him and he's recovered, Joanna says "I've got a password problem", and then he says "Don't shoot, don't shoot" and he'll start walking.
I tested to see if the glitch strat would work for RTA and it seems like it would actually. With decent glitching you can be in his office in less than 15 seconds. Then if you shoot his chest and run away, he'll start walking around 22 seconds or less.
Compared to the current RTA strat, where he walks at around 31 seconds, this could potentially save 9-10 seconds, if you could make the lift work.
The glitching might be hard or very easy to pull off on console, i dunno really. You'll have to try it out. I made some pictures showing the route:
1. Land on top of the cheese room. This step is the same as with the old SA strat, where you glitched straight into Cass's office.
2. Walk forward where the green arrow in the top-left picture is pointing, drop down and land on top of the door in the top-right picture. (Don't land too far right or you might get stuck)
3. Double duck, Follow the wall on the right and drop over the edge where the green arrow points. Fall for a bit then move forward some more to land in the spot shown in middle-left picture.
4. Move along the left wall, and step into the void where the green arrow points, you should end up the position shown in middle-right picture.
5. Walk forward accross the right wall, watch out for the pillars sticking out.
6. When you're past the 2nd pillar, and in the position shown in bottom-left picture. Move into the void to the right.
7. Voila! You're in the programmers office.
When you've reached him, shoot his chest ASAP and run away. Simple as that.
