Safe ending costed 2:11 I guess, but it was .90 and Im going for lower. Im just having a lot of trouble with the bot...takes ages just to get 2:11 speed bots, never really seen any 210 speed ones.

Yeah it's tricky to get a good bot. I had a couple yesterday, but they don't always pan out to actually be good bots. It has to warp so much for a 210 chance. = Even if you get the chance, then you have to hope you can live and not screw up the last laser set/get punched to hell by a guard while doing the uplink. I've had some issues avoiding the last drone aswell, but hopefully I can iron that out soon enough.

Well I use a "safe strat"

I backstrafe with the cam spy at the 2nd door so that way during uplink i can go into it (since i avoided picking it up) and be guaranteed to live. It doesnt lose much when you consider how the set of lasers is usually up a bit anyway if you do it fast, so if youre quick, you can jsut start running instantly and probably only lose like .1 or nothing.

But I have also noticed that the bot needs to warp even if its fast, cause like on Ilaris 211 his bot isnt even fast in the main hall (cant even hear it as he passes by), but then is still somehow possible 209 speed, so yeah its pretty luck based.

Yeah, tell me about it. I've been playing Invest SA for well over 15 hours now. I got 2:12 twice and only one 2:11 bot, which ended up in a so called 'disaster' lol! Missed the 2nd door with the camspy after launching it; that sucked. Good luck if you're going for 2:11 or lower, Clemens. Fact that you got 1:27 already just proves that you have the patience (I hope for you).

Lol, ending was complete shit, ran into like 4 lasers and got a low 117, and the start wasnt that good either, but I need to study vids to see how the lasers work, cause at the moment i dont really get it =/. Are you guys tapping left and right strafe for the lasers, and letting off all full speed?

It's all about the laser before the last one; try to run through that one as soon as it gets down.

What I used to do was like running carefully through the first lasers, then do a big turn before the 2nd to last, timing it so you pass through as soon as it goes down, at almost max speed. Funny that 1:15 took me quite some time, but I almost duped it 6 months later on a 5 min session, and I get like low 1:16s basically on every try. The ending part is so easy but if you're nervous, chances that you're gonna bump on the lasers are like 102%.

I've heard things like "Silo A 1:04 is maxed" and "Aztec Agent 1:31 is impossible on NTSC" so if anything, telling me that Air Base 1:14 is impossible only makes it more likely

Big door stuck may have costed 128 or at least 129 , pretty funny. I had a 128 run where I had to run up the hall a bit to get the lab clothes lol.

Stupid keycard, landed all the way at the door costing me 217, but whats more amazing is I had 1 sec stuck on a door at the end, so this was a 216 run.

Infiltration A 1:13 (x3)

I need some serious help on this level..I mean 1:11 speed is cake (probably have had 110 speeds), but the GUARD ON TOP OF THE LADDER, after leaving explosives, is driving me nuts! Does anyone know how to get rid of him, cause he seems to be there every single 111 pace I ever have, and then if he isnt there its like impossible not to get stuck on the bottom of the ladder for a moment.

Does watching more cinema help? But then the lift is harder...well maybe with 1:11 speed you can barely make it in or something. One of my 113s i had to reopen the lift because it closed on me. Both of the others had big stucks at the end, but it only seemed to cost 112 (slow starts).

I can't seem to remember any ways to avoid that guard, he's even more annoying on SA and PA, might need input from someone who's played the game more recently but I just remember that you have to be fast and hope for the best.

It's random as far as I remember, but looking up helps a bit. That's one of the most annoying things on the entire game

The little stuck on bottom of the ladder is a matter of strafing correctly into it, don't know how to explain. Well, just keep playing, you'll nail it soon. Oh, and watching the cinema is not like a good option because you'll get basically the same lift setup, but you'll wait like... 20 seconds or something? I don't know if that helps on the guard stucking thing, probably not I guess, since the guards are "triggered" by the explosion.

113 was my first completion ever, in about 20 minutes.

But i played a couple hours after and got stuck on the ladder 19/20 runs.

I know you gotta hit the ladder the right way, but i disagree that it will bring you up right away every time..i think it is a bit random. But when I said wait cinema, I meant like 1 extra secomnd, so hes in a better spot or something, but if hes triggered by the explosives then I guess that wouldnt matter anyway.

The ladder is not random. Just make sure you don't get to too much by the side.. it feels random because there's a very small difference between getting stuck and not getting stuck, but I think that if you try to avoid the side a little (like doing a very small turn), it'll never happen. It's been a while I haven't played it but that's what I remember

And waiting 1 second on the cutscene would increase the chances of you losing the last elevator, wouldn't it? Or it might be a good strat if you are going like TOO fast (1:10 speed) and might have to close the lift yourself, so that extra second would be like going 1:11 speed with regular cutscene.

I think the key to 110 is to just wait more cinema and have the lift almost close on you. I had a crappy run 1 sec slower than my best run , but since the lift closed as I approached it and I barely made it in, it still ended up being 111 pace. So if you wait a little more cinema, get a really fast run, barely make the lift, should easily get 110. But thats easier said that done, of course.

I was top 3 once, shithead. I've had untieds on like 12 levels back when PD sucked even more, so your statement is false. And also, you've played Infil A, so you should know that the last lift is a little random. Waiting that extra second would probably increase the chances of it shutting right in your face, so you would miss a lot of like high 1:10 or low 1:11 chances because you'd be waiting one extra second, hoping that you'd do a perfect mid 1:10 run so your waiting would be useful. 1:10 sounds a little crazy speed-wise but Clemens said he was actually being that fast, so I'm considering it's possible.

My point was that it's kinda pointless waiting that one extra second because you still can get 1:10 without it, with possibly greater chances.
