EDIT: By the way, can anyone tell me how you do the second skedar jump without the use of the devastator? (as seen in the WR videos)

Have lots of speed for one, and also notice that the ground is higher over the left than in the center. Jump from the left to the center of the other side. Bit of luck involved IMO.

On A51:: Escape, when Jonathan tells you to cover him while he open the hangar doors, on the videos, the player runs off and opens them themselves, and the mission ends.

When i've done it, the two consoles you go to to open the hangar doors are not active, whats going on? can someone explain how to do this?

I'm not sure about this at all but i think it might be becouse you must listen to one of the conversation lines first, like "I'll get on the hoverbike" or something like that.

But as i said, I'm not sure about that.

You gotta wait for the music to change before you can activate the consoles. If you tap B twice on a console prior to the music change and do it right, you can activate it while heading for the other console. This is more of the thing to do once you are closer to the WR though.

On Crash Site, on the Speedrun vids, the player thows a R'Mine over the hill, intending it to go down the hole and kill the president clone - how is it possible to throw a mine that far? every time i try, it just sticks to the side of the mountain, no matter what height or angle i throw it, is there trick to it or something?

Any help?

Crouch then throw the mine while you get up... It should go much farther if done correctly

Perfect Agent:
(Obviously its just my n00b opinion)
Oh, and including bonusl levels, I'll just include both.

Not in cluding bonus levels:

I had a lot of trouble with Villa, it seemed like there was always a guard from somwhere that was hitting me, and I was also low on amo.

For me, the easist level was Area 51 - Escape. I didn't have any problems with it. I found it easy to kill of guards with the SuperDragon.

Including Bonus Levels:

The hardest in the whole game to beat on PA for me is Maian SOS, it is very hard beacuse of: You start out with low health, amo is a huge problem...and there are lots of guard... Also when it seems like you've cleared out all of the guards, theres like a respawn thing, more and more guards keep coming from that.

NOTE: I would say WAR! is a close third to Villa.

As it so happens 'Sivea', the reason these question are going in order of the levels is 'm asking the questions as i practise the levels. I've started at 1 and am working my way through, learning the basic for speedrunnng, with the help of other.

And as you prochesized, i'm now going to ask a question regarding Deep Sea....

What is the PAL trick used to save time? i hear it is quite substancial, and from the loss of oher features from using PAL (elevators 16% slower!) i can't wait for a benefit.

Any help?

Elevators 16% slower is not a bad thing in Maian SOS on agent...

Anyway, about Deep Sea, the Farsight reaches further in PAL than it goes in NTSC versions,
with this you can destroy objects (canisters?

) at a certain point of the level (look at the WR vids to see where).

With this you can disable the cetan megaweapon without the help of Elvis, which saves AT LEAST a minute and 20 seconds. (or so)

This works on A and SA (though at different points)

Don't worry about them. They never existed. It was just an elaborate hoax intended to make it look as if GE/PD speedrunners have actual interaction with other human beings. This was a massively failed attempt to make t-e.n more accessible to "normal" video game players who do, in fact, have some sort of social life, pitiful though it may be.

In actuality, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark players do not posses a social life of any sort, or leave the N64 at all for that matter. It was once believed that all GE/PD speedrunners stopped playing at least once in a while in order to go to the bathroom, however this theory was shown to be horribly wrong when it was revealed that Wouter had simply set up the N64 and television in the bathroom and then never left. The only time he ever stopped playing was to either post a WR at t-e.n or post when someone beats one of his records to tell them that he will do better. Others soon followed suit, and the result is has been quite embarrassing for the t-e.n community.

Using control style 1.2, which hand do people prefer to use to press B (open doors)?

Using your right nullifies your movement back and forth and straife, but using your left negates your direction, control. Obviously in the split-second it takes to press b and open a door or activate a switch or something needs to be done quickly.
Which do people prefer to sacrifice for that brief moment?

Finally saw the Illinois 02 vids.

One thing that i couldn't stop thinking of while watching them however, was how amazing it was that they managed to organize and congregate at one place, without (most of them) having met each other in real life before!

How old were they when it happened?
