Im trying to beat my time of 3:06 on SA in extraction. Having watched the videos I see that to get a good time you just leave all the guards alive on the ground floor; do I just keep doing this until dr carrol doesnt die? Or am I missing something subtle?

If it is just luck how often the dr survives, how likely is it for him to survive?

Yes, Dr Carroll does die fairly often. If you kill more guards in the lobby then this increases the chances of him surviving.

I usually shoot 2 (behind the desk) on the way to the elevator, then shoot 1 when I'm in the elevator.
Chances for him to survive are maybe 70% or so if you do it this way, haven't checked. So I dunno for sure.

Im playing at the moment and dr carrol keeps dying when im in the fan room. I've decided to just strafe through and shoot like a nutjob to kill as many as possible and hope for the best!

I'll post if i manage a decent time.

Edit: I just had another go, and shot the guards you said, Red Bull, and it worked perfectly!

So my time is now 2:34 (Which isn't that great, but its a minute faster than my time was yesterday)

Wouter, since me and Carathorn were trying to cheer a few things up here, by editing a video for fun. You complain. When Carathorn makes a suggestion about an active rivalry. You complain, about how useless it is. When a newbie enters the PDE, you complain about how noobish he is. (Not to mention 99% of your other posts.)

Dude, get a life. Either post some useful stuff or don't post at all. If this board is some sort of relieve of frustration for you, try to seek that elsewhere. As I'm sure of the fact that you're probably a nice guy IRL.

Wouter, I wish to express my concern regarding the validity of your accusation. He did not state anywhere what his time was yesterday. On the 30th of December, he posted that his time was 3:06. He posted a couple of hours later, saying his time is now 2:34 which is a minute faster than yesterday.

My time yesterday, or two days ago as it is now was in the 3:30s, then I knocked it down to 3:06 and then on to 2:34. So thats me knocked off a minute. I never said that that improvement on its own was a minute improvement.
