I have a question: how does it come that the last door is open?

is there a purpose about why (in 1:11 movie) he throws the dragon (a boost maybe).

As I dont wanna spam this forum.. another quick question: if you skip the lines of cassandra in MBR, it takes a while before she starts moving finally

Any particular method to jump over the cliff with skedar ruins PA? its damn hard, i succeeded a few times though. but getting the right pillars AND the succesful jump is too hard.
any help?

Thanx Otto, I'm gonna try that out tomorrow.

I succeeded with the jump without that R-thingy, but it was way too hard. Every time I had the right pillars, it wouldn't let me jump over

, and it was pissing me off. I'm not sure what the trick is all about, but for the look of it, it seems easy.

I stay as close to the left as possible, and it seems to work just about every try. You have to be unarmed though, so maybe that's where you peeps are going wrong.

FB, are you changing direction while being in the air? A bit like YE does in the 1:36 vid. Because when I try to do the R-thing, I follow that path. Also, do you mean steer left (left C-button?) or face left (like in the 1:36 vid?).

I didnt go to left part when I got my 1:27

I think you just need to hold a little the R, like FB said with unarmed is very easier, but I did it sometimes with a gun too

Maybe you need to get more speed, i cant do the R-thing fast as the vid, i think losing 0.5s is not THAT bad :P

You need very little speed to pull off the trick, it's actually pretty easy if you know how to do it. I can probably get it about 80% of the time.

Cass punching is done on MBR for a reason other than to make her leave faster. If you miss Mr Blonde's speech, you can punch her and she'll immediately say her line, assuming she gasps. I believe punching her doesn't make her leave any faster.

With Ruins, I tried out the R trick when it was first released and was unable to pull it off. I am much more consistant doing it the way I did in my 1:36. I can do that about every 1 in 3 tries.

I pretty much use all those things mentioned, Full speed, tap R in air, I've tried turning as well, nothing seems to work.

Does the trick work for both Ntsc/PAL? Just asking cause there was a similar thing in TWINE where you could only jump the boxes on COW 2 with NTSC.

And does it work with all video settings?

Can't really think of any more factors that could be relevant here?

It works for PAL... cause I did it like 10 times in the past hour. Starting to master it slowly

You should tap R as late as possible, I believe!

I did it too, and I think it is a PAL thing only. If YE can't do it, one of the best players, and some more NTSC, that must be it.

Anyway, I have a few questions about the Infiltration Agent-bot. (I managed to get 1:32 (PAL)), but:

I watched the two 1:28 movies, and I wonder:
- does it really help to switch unarmed and falcon 2 very fast? dunno, but seems unlikely.
- what does frame rate (hi-res and 16:9) to do with the speed of the bot? I figured that it had to help one way or the other, as my bots were going surprisingly faster.
- is there a difference between PAL and NTSC bots?
- is 1:32 good enough with a late 0:50 bot? Or should I be faster at the end?

Umm... RB. Ghus discovered it. He's Brazilian (= NTSC) so yeah it's possible on both systems.

I will leave more of those Invest question for other ppl to answer BUT PAL is highly disadvantaged with the bot, it's @#$%! Guess, I need to get 1:32 now as well. If this keeps up you are going to pass me soon

The Brazilians are NTSC. Also, I can pull off the trick and I'm NTSC, so that's not the problem. Plus YE has both versions anyway.

The problem comes when you suck and don't have any real skill (eg. Matt Cook). Having this irreversible defect makes the jump a lot harder.
