first off, don't kill me if this topic is useless or has already been made, but this is for random questions so that answers are easier to find.

anyway, how does one beat Defection in like 6 seconds? is that a certain version or what, because the door doesn't start open for me. also, what's the fastest time on defection without that glitch on agent?

'Elevators and many other things (guards, bots) move in realtime throughout opening cinematics. '
Watch a few seconds of the opening cinematic, the guard will open the door for you.

The World Record was 33 seconds on NTSC (and  I guess 34 on PAL) before this glitch was discovered.
I think someone has improved it to 32s now ? I'm not sure...

where would a video be of the 33 sec defection run? oh, and i got the glitch to work, i'm working on the landing into the elevator thing

Wouter should have a 33 vid. And so far, i've never heard of a 32.

Me neither but last time on a french board, I said the best time without glitch was 33 and shade answered he had heard about 32.

The record was 0:35 on PAL when the glitch was found and I think it still is.

33 was thought to be maxed at the time it was obtained and it probably is "maxed" in the same way that Chicago 0:16 was "maxed". As in, 0:32 is possible, but who the hell is going to bother trying?
