1:36:00 Smashed, & New Members!

If you didn't notice, we crashed through the 1:36 barrier on the update of the 16th, on the strength of YE's latest world record.  Huzzah!  Good to see the league still going strong.

But even with alot of activity in the past year, it still took quite a while for this last minute mark to fall, which begs the question... do you think we're going to make 1:35?  I was feeling in a historic mood tonight, so I whipped up how long it has taken us to reach every milestone since the 1:45 mark.  Pretty interesting results... check it out:

144 - 53 days
143 - 40 days
142 - 40 days
141 - 186 days
140 - 203 days
139 - 241 days
138 - 183 days
137 - 154 days (!)
136 - 302 days

Almost a year to go from 1:37 to below 1:36, so, how long do you think it will take us to crack 1:35 now?  I predict...

And I'll guess that the last milestone we reach is... 1:33.  What do you all think?

I have no idea... 1:35:00 won't be broken this year (not on elite rankings).  It might be close with Karl and co included though.  I'll say it will be broken in 299 days.  The last barrier to go down will be 1:30:00.  Who really knows at this point.

ah darn, well I was atleast the most realistic back then, 1:36 =P.  Lets say.. 208 days until we see 1:34 x.

Its hard to put a cap on levels when glitches become exploited.  I think 1:31 will be the last barrier broken.

Anybody else remember when 2:00:00 was broken?  That was fun.

Mystery man would appear to be Mr. Jobst! 0:55 G5 PA for example is what makes me think this. It could also be NGamer or another Elite folk putting up his records under another name to give us a good reflection of what the real world records are, and to get rid of the 'site records'.
