Why not?

So I'll start with my rescue time, it was a good run, but I had to run back and get a dragon after calling the lift.. so it closed a little later, but the scientist was there in time, but I lost some other time stuck on the wall and getting his lab clothes, the guy talked at 52.3 so the ending was normal.

I guess after talking about it like that it was really bad, but the odds of the scientist being there in time are really low. I got it after about 3 hours worth of playing total, but after just like 10 minutes of playing last night.

a) shoot dude through glass

b) shoot dragon into ground to kill mass of guards and boost self

No and no, but I did use the throw dragon from lift.

I'd need a vid or more detailed explanations to use the other 2.

for the glass kill, you just kill hte scientist before the guy opens you the door, the you switch back to unnarmed so he still opens you the door

When you've got the keycard and you're running back "from whence you came", you come to where you spoke to the guard, but now there are 2 biotechs and maybe another guard. You aim down and fire 2 maybe 3 grenades consecutively to a) kill the guards b) get through easy c) get a boost

Phil's idea i believe. It works well.

Does anyone know WR TTs for MBR (PA)?

It's hard to find anyone who knows more about the level than me, but I still can't be sure of any good TTs since I'm still so far from the WR.

I remember I had cass on the bottom of the last ramp at 1:27 and can get 1:25 and maybe a bit faster (this is Perfect Agent).

Also, I wouldn't mind a tip for getting cass up the last ramp quickly. Shade say's it can be done in 6 seconds, but I'm not so sure. I haven't been able to do it as of yet.

And lecmasta is hard to find. I have never caught him on AIM or anything. But I don't think he really knows more than me so it doesn't matter.

My run is quite embarrasing IMO. I made several small and stupid mistakes. It's a WR nevertheless, so I'm happy.

I just pick up easy WRs because you guys suck and can't get them. I see why everyone quit...Karl actually had skill, and you guys are too gay to even compete.

NSPD, my 1:28 for SA is the worst of my MBR times (skill-wise, not points-wise). Congrats on beating it. If you think that I can't beat it, then you're gay. Of course I don't know if I will. I was gonna give MBR a break for a while.

And yes Karl, I've taped all this stuff. I will try to send in my tape tomorrow to Jon. My SA time can just suck for now I guess.

I have a lot of stupid stuff on my tape and some end screens. The full runs that I can think of that matter are Escape PA 3:46 and all my MBR.

Claims aren't worth to screw over without proof.
I don't know why you're not first yet with all your "being so good" and all those times "being so easy" and you spending so much time on the game that you can't leave it even if you're the only one knowing about the existance of your times.

I see that you've tried to make the times look real but times like CI 0:56/1:32/1:56 and Skedar Ruins 1:17/1:31/1:39 don't make much sense.

Of course, not taping doesn't help your credibility much either.

I was thinking of sending it to ExpertGamer but I wanted to talk to him before I did and I can't get a hold of him. I guess I could send him an e-mail or something. Also I don't know which runs were put online by Jon. If I did I'd go look at one.

And maybe I should ask one other thing before I send it. Is scrolling proof even worth it for me? If you think I should add it I will but I don't really see the point atm.

and on topic, i was thinking about lookdown at the end of CI SA might get them a 1:30. I saw yoshi's where he used it coming out of the Rpc-120 room. I was thinking of using it during the bomb hangar with the skedar ship. Someone who can get 1:31 (other than Josh) should try it.

I need a new controller before i go for wr's. actually, i remember there was a 1.1/1.2 debate and i don't remember it: does controller wear affect 1.2. I haven't used it much but it seemed faster when I played GE.

According to what I've heard from Shade, it doesn't matter how fast you go you're almost certainly going to end up waiting longer at the end. He was going for 1:30 and said he totally killed (I think he said nearly 2 seconds) Yoshi's TTs but still didn't get it. He is the one to talk to though.

Time waiting after the virus uploads is constant.

Something you may be interested in that doesn't actually affect your play... but... It's possible to go so fast after pressing the computer that carrington won't "tell you" about the bomb while you're uploading. Same affect as on PA. Very apparent on slo-mo.

Yea it's quite often if you're fast, but if you don't want that to happen, you just need to get the hostage complete as soon as possible, because that's the thing that triggers Carrington's next line. So hope to get the message to appear as soon as possible when you've entered the firing range. Then get boosted like in my agent vid so that the next line appears when you get to the ramp before the wall, that's kinda like the mark that if it hasn't started before that, he won't speak to you when you're at the bomb.

Once I went too fast on agent and only managed 1:03 because the game's gay, would have been 53 otherwise.

And wouter, it was not 9.30, must have been 9.80. The fastest is my 9.55 and if you've seen the vid it was extremely perfect.

My run was like perfect too. I paused just before hitting Trent, but Randy says pausing loses no time at all, so that doesn't matter.

Just curious, what was your time shown when starting the 3rd match? I had 5.35 clearly. As for the final time, I saw 9.25 just before the final number, and it seems strange to me that it would jump .55 in the next time seen. Maybe it was 9.5 but it was a great run. And how could you be so sure you had 9.55 if you think I can't have seen my end timer clearly like that. Maybe you only had 9.77

Anyway, I'm done with Duel, I will only try for the ltk record yet, but I need to know the settings. I think it was like 10% for enemy health and the rest max, but I'm not sure.

Also Karl can you give me TTs for Maian Agent.
For Example:

damn if those are correct.. I get like high 19 for the first usually, and about 35/36 for the 2nd.. I think you meant 34 maybe.
I had about 1:20 2nd lift for my 1:41, and it must have been high 1:41, so I think it's 1:18 for 2nd lift, maybe 1:20 was the time I shut the lift though. oh well, I'll try it more later, we'll see.
But how can the start not be important, if you don't get through under like 6 seconds, you couldn't make the low 19 TT. Anyway, thanks. I'll probably be asking for more TTs for other levels later.

Mid 1:19 shut wouter, I have an exact memory of that tt.

And the start isn't important because you can make up for it later. I always get through either extremely fast or don't get through at all, and as if you would be looking at the timer when you have so much else to think about!

Btw, use duel trick at the start....

Also run into both lift doors while they are going up.

Yes, I am using those tricks.

As for Duel PA, I watched your 9, and I think I know why your run was slightly slower than mine. You are still moving in 1 or 2 of the matches while it's going to load the next match, like your moving to the first guards ammo in the first match. I'm pretty sure it's a bit slwoer because the game has more tasks (you moving) and loads the next match a little slower. I stand still on all 3 of them almost as soon as I hit them. I watched my High Quality vid again, and it was clearly 9.30. I also did Jon differently to your method, and I used the Falcon for Trent. Who knows what differences in time those make.
Anyway, I love my run and find it very beautiful

i dont think i put my words right at my retirement topic.. "no pd/ge for the rest of my life" was kinda tough, i shouldnt've put it that way. i just felt like playing a lil bit again.. and im just playing for fun.

my tv is stupid, i had to press start a few times at the run cuz i couldnt see anything at some parts $:\$ i had many 0:56's (2 were like .05), all'em with lil mistakes. the 0:55 was average, i think 0:54 is very possible.

I can get there at about :13 on average, and one time i even got there at :11.8 but i didn't fully kill the guard by the first alarm. After that i get crap cause my 1.2 suckage (just switched over).
