Yeah, my SA ending was 42 or 43 as well.  It might have to do with the camspy while uploading though.  If I had like almost full life, I'd maybe not even go into the camspy to see if that's the reason.  It also makes timing the door hard because the noise is harder to hear.

1.28 - past oil barrel
2.38 - start of tunnel
2.89 - stairs are visible
3.61 - start of stairs
3.86 - end of stairs
5.85 - red turn begins
6.65 - past robot
7.58 - past limo
8.31 - past 3rd yellow light
8.85 - "The only place..."
9.46 - begin fall
10.31 - F2 begins to come out
10.73 - pick up mine (personal best)

- right strafe until just before the stairs
- left strafe up the stairs and change to right before actually getting up stairs since the strafe changes are slow to respond
- right strafe until storm drain fall begins
- change to left strafe until pausing at mine
- back left strafe until able to climb wall
- left strafe up it facing exit
- throw mine as you reach the first flat spot before upper wall so it comes out faster
- mine out of hand a few tenths after message fades
- change to right strafe for the remainder of the level
- should complete with about all garage visible (if flame isn't blocking your view totally
- had a 15.93 where obj 2 was very slow, could see the TT because it was slow, rounded up

I also got CI 1:30.16 which basically was 42.9 lift 1, 54.2 lift 2, and 1:13.95 uplink, no cloaking

What made this run lucky was near the end.  I was kinda low on life when the uploading was done, so I was pausing to get out the RC-P120 out asap.  So that goes well, but I get stuck on a Blonde with K7 guard not too far away and lost almost all my health, in red and barely made it to end room in time, like 1:29.6 about and did the pause thing to reduce the lag.  Hopefully this untied lasts over a week unlike my previous ones. :x

Well, luck has stuck bad in the untied department once again. (did I get shortest standing untied in elite history?) :rolleyes   At least I posted it just before he did though. :p   I guess he gave it a go with my shitty early TTs (probably my weakness in the level) and went for it.  Just don't go for 1:28, ok? :evil   Anyways, I want 1:51/1:52 PA next.  I got a 1:54.98 that rounded up with a very slow message appearance after obj 2, which would have gotten at least 1:52.  I need to just get lucky with that along with not dying in the end, and it's in the bag. :smokin

Because I don't have a cord for the 64 or a controller, otherwise I would get the WR.

And I got 1:32 when I didn't have any skill.
I could easily get 1:29 if I tried.  If I ever tried.

Hmm...

I must suck at the beginning and rule at the endings on CI SA.... My best objective fades are 26.7 and I easily got 1:30... I'd just need good beginnings to get 1:29..

Any tips on how to do that? Shade/Bryan just tell me what you do please... I can't be losing one whole second unless I'm doing something terribly wrong...

I'm not, I'm left strafing from 1st door to 2nd door. I'm shooting the glass on the run too. I turn the glass corner after first gun at like 15.8. I get sub 26 like every run after obj 1.

No, I have officially become a nobody in terms of untied records :)

I knew that the record was very easy to beat all along, and I also knew that it was just a matter of time until someone became curious of how fast it was compared to what was possible. I have to say Bryan, congrats on a pretty nice record.

I assume that the run was flawed at many points as the overall max is very similar to SA on this one. I know that my run was flawed, and I actually had many runs where I was faster but was killed in the run back at the end.

Good Job though anyway! ;)  Is there anybody here that could post some stats on a few things? I#'d be interested to know how long the untied lasted in days.

Yeah, I probably threw away around 5 sec from fundamental errors throughout the run.  I would agree that this could go a lot lower, but the ending is so gay and prevents such runs to really exist.  I would say 3:10-3:15 is max.

Yeah, if you only watch videos you can't really know how far a stage can be pushed. Most of the best players are quick to admit that their times are far from perfect, though some do take things to the extreme a little. A classic example of this is Karl Jobst :)

Deep Sea 3:25 lasted a total of 420 days.  It peaked at #10 on the Oldest WRs list, and #4 at Oldest Untied.  May it rest in peace.

faults: terrible first room, missed pressing the 1st laser button, had to get it on the way back, door after safe closed, guard in the way also.

goods: great 2nd room, skipped alarm guards well, actually set myself up to collect dr carol correctly, TAPED:)

In my 2:15 vid, I missed the guy in the last experiment room. I did the same in this one too, but he ran the other way. It took me by surprise. I used my F2 shooting strat as well.

Alright... As you might have guessed Dman's discovery is actually working very very well. I shouldve tought of that before cuz its quite obvious that the medpack is activated after a certain amount of guard killed after you used it on Elvis. The emplacements of both mines are as Dman said in his topic. Third mind can be almost throwed from Elvis little room so you dont waste too much time to get back to the room. The average activation is around 4secs. Something like that. Which is totally great since before we were used of some 10 or so seconds wait for the medpack. The run in itself wasnt all that great. Got stuck a bit getting to Jon: TT =54. Jon was running quite fast. Getting him back fast isnt really a problem anymore, the guards can be very gay sometimes cuz Jon shoots them but beside that you should be able to get some 1:52-1:55 all the time. Sometimes better. On the 3:30 I got a 1:53 Jon. Already there it's improvable. Destroyed the wall at 2:27ish. Activate thing at like 2:33 or so. Activated at 2:39. Elvis was fast to get out of his room.
Turned corner at 2:50. Discussion started at 2:55. Good Ending finished with 3:30. Off to PA now

Omg, I don't even know where to start.  I believe the bot was 1:30 or 1:31 because I was going through 2nd set at around 1:35.  Anyways, this was on my very first try, about 1/1000000000000 chance that this could happen on first try on this gay level. :lol    I'm still shaken up right now.  2:11 = max as far as I know.  Well YourEliteness obviously has a huge find in this F2 deal and has earned my respect fully.

- started the level around the time the guard looks back up for the 2nd time.
- 5.91 brown door (shot 8 shots prior to door, reload)
- 8.55 glass
- 10.58 reprogrammed
- 18.05 ramp in view (shot 8 shots going up the ramp, reload near top just before those 2 quick turns)
- shot 8 more shots as soon as I could getting stuck on a rolling guard for a sec, reload
- started shooting 3 shots after last box guard, reload before next door
- 28.03 next door fully open, shot 8 more in big room, reload at next door
- shot 3 at right guard, got his cmp
- paused for camspy while reloading, went in there pretty far where I could just take it standing still
- paused after obj was just starting to show, selected uplink by mistake
- changed to cmp by as I was going through the 2 doors where the 1 guard is on the right
- 51 experiment room 1, only 15 cmp bullets, killed right guard first, then left and got their bullets
- no disarms in the run if that matters at all
- scientist shut them down
- 1:04 intersection (heard bot)
- 1:19 experiment shut down in back room
- 1:31 see bot
- again, 2nd set down at about 1:35
- 1:48.23 connect (paused into camspy that I left in that little room)
- did pause trick near the end to assure a better door timing
- 2:04.63 2nd last door fully open
- 2:09.18 last door fully open (no back boost)
- 2:12.69 (end)

I got a 1:29 bot on my 2:15, I did the ending like a fag would (no camspy trick, messed up some doors, and got back boost galore).
I think the max for this level is 2:10.
I would love to play this level...just to get 2:13 at least.  Should be able to play any day now...and I will be taping, and also, I have stuff to capture, as most of you already knew.   Be ready...

Ok...

New strat. Quit cinema after the shot turns away from the dead body (14 seconds into it)
This makes the first alarm guard to the left of the door after the 15 second door. No walking backwards.
Also makes the door after the camspy open and the guard not facing you.

25.86 Camspy (very bad for this new strat, best without strat is 25.61)

Stuck on guard after next door. Perfect from here on.
40.25 finish; going for 39.
