The first 10 seconds hardly make or break you in this level.

If you really had a 5.35 Jonathan Wouter, it means that 8 seconds is probably possible...

I got 9.95 with a 6.25 Jon, so if I would have had a 5.35 Jon it would have been 9.05, which is dangerously close to 8.99 :eek

It would be cool if someone got it.

I don't think you should attempt 09 yet. It's most likely beyond your patience atm as well as your skill. Even unskillful can get that time I suppose, but the luck for someone unskilled would be incredibly high I would imagine.

You may be surprised.
I have mastered the art of cranking Trent in the chest with the magnum. As well as the first guard with the Falcon. I just suck horribly against Jon. . . On my :11 I hit everything perfect except for jon, which I screwed up big on.

And you may find it funny that on my literal first run EVER on duel PA I took down Trent perfectly with the magnum. . . that was just luck, btw.

:09 isn't that hard if you're good at trent (which I'm not), and you know what you're doing. Once you have the right strat down it shouldn't take too long. Just find out the TTs you need and don't take anything less. :/

IF KillerSim or Shade or Lec or anyone with good MBR times read that post , maybe they could post some TTs for any difficulty ? I hardly believe 1:23 on A possible (actually I do belive the time , but I don't think I could get it) , and a crazy thought has been growing on my mind : PAL has been screwed up on this level.Of course coz of the lifts , but maybe also coz of Cass.When I see the PAL records (1:31 1:32 1:37) and the WRs (1:23-1:28-1:30) , I just feel like...hum...ashamed of being PAL

I don't know, but the only thing I have noticed that it's like impossible to get a good Cass if you skip both her speeches. I have no idea if the people who got 1:28 on SA skip them both but if I would have done that and used the door trick on my SA run it would had been easily sub 1:30.

My A run was pretty damn sloppy so that's a really weak PAL record. No door trick here either.

I just saw that Genisics had 1:37 on PA after you had mentioned it Vinze. Damn australian hoe...
Anyway, I actually find this level hard for various reason and I'm very pissed that I was screwed of an 1:35 or so back when I was going for my current 1:38 time. Again, a weak record despite usage of the door trick.

I actually hooked up my N64 the other day but all of my 3 controllers have a really sucky analog stick and it's like impossible to aim and therefore extremely hard to get any decent time. I might try and play some more and maybe I can get used to the sloppyness.
In that case I would go for a better Maian SOS A time (1:40), MBR A time (1:28?) and MBR PA time (1:35?).

We'll see how it turns out :rolleyes

You listed the WR's wrong. I just got 1:27 SA but the damn WR topic is closed. I wish those dumbasses would quit posting duel times in there. Anyway, want some TTs eh? Since it should be fresh in my mind... Special agent TTs

Plant explosive - 7.00-7.50

First lift closes - 13.50-14.00

2nd lift closes - 36.8-37.5

Disarm Cass - 43.2-44.5 (I got 1:28 with a 45.88 disarming once)

Cass goes through door at the top of the winding ramp - 1:00-1:03

Cass begins to go up the last ramp - 1:17-1:20

Level ends - 1:24-1:28

These are probably not the best TTs but I'd say they are good to go by. All the fastest ones that I put I have managed, except of course for the very last one. That is just my theoretical target.

wow if one is good at Trent, I'm not sure but I got Jon most of the time. Jon is like supercake. I like killing him. Right in the head. *hears lovely dying Jon sound* I think I got him like 1 out of 3 tries I got to him.

as for PA, I don't think we should bother to argue who has the fastest, mine has no errors in it, yours maybe very small ones. Because of frames and framerates and all it's pretty much impossible to know what were the exact TTs. And which were the exact ending times to the 2nd decimal. Also keep in mind that probably upto 0.10 isn't showns at the end, maybe even more. Also inbetween there are 0.01s going by which aren't visible. I just studied my run again. Pause at 0.10 very clearly. Kill at 0.80. 2.35 going in 2nd round, but when I strafe to Jon, when I start to move it immediately goes to 3.00, then 3.01, then 3.03. I suppose the timer starts sometime earlier than you see it start. Even if it was 2.85 or 2.95 then the rest must have been amazing.. Just let me analyse. I had 5.35 Jon, but timer again when it started it was 6.00 even though the 6 looked like 5 at frames after. So I saw 5.35. Then after killing Trent, 9.00. Then dammit I just figured it out. My bad guys. it then shows somehow 9.71 and some 9.8 blurry @#%$ and 9.90 probably. I know why Kar's was faster. If it was and my eyes don't lie to me. He doesn't go all the way to the wall to Kill Jon. He goes about halfway only and just had like the fastest Jon coming out of there. I usually have a slow Jon that I can only just hit him as I arrive at the wall, which make it that I can cake him so well. I just have to shoot when I pass the wall.. Almost guaranteed (warranteed for the Brits

) hit.. It happens way more often so I'm not going to hit MY OWN head anymore by thinking of these TTs.. In conclusion I don't trust decimals anymore they're too unclear. And to sum it up: I PROBABLY had 2.95 5.95 and 9.90. I suck, Thanks. It was a perfect run nonetheless with my slow Jon. Thank you was nice analysing.

Holy God , Disarming Cass at around 43 on SA looks damn impossible for PAL.i'm not very good , but it's all right if I disarm her at low 47 on Agent...

Hmm, I haven't played agent in a while. Just subtract 2 seconds from all my TTs. Like, 2nd lift closes at :35, and disarm cass at 41.xx, etc.

Oh, and disarming cass at 43.anything on SA is exactly what I am for since I'm going for WRs and such. The ending after disarming her could be as fast as 41.xx seconds I'm guessing. PAL or no. So with a :47 disarming then 1:28 or 1:29 should be possible, but it wouldn't be easy. I wish I could play PAL once to see how much the disadvantage is.

I just played some agent (I got 1:26 on my first try. :lol

) and I found out something. The TTs ARE 2 seconds different up until cass, but the ending time differs by more. I am almost certain that a fast cass moves faster on Agent than on SA. If true, it is an interesting discovery. It would also explain why the SA WR is so far from the A WR when you can get to cass merely 2 seconds later.

Actually on PAL you probably can disarm her at 45.xx on A , which means that *theorically* , 1:27 is possible.But I guess nobody is gonna do it.
BTW I just got 1:34 , the run was almost all right with major suckage just before the stairs : the guard was just in front of the open door and I didn"t dare shooting at him , fearing to hit Cass..So she got stuck on him at least 2 secs.
In ccl , 1:29 PAL A would be , IMO , a good standard.

Yeah, I use 1.2 too Vinze. But the anlog stick makes it hard to hit things like the bed in Maian SOS. It's also pretty uncomfortable to look around with.

I play pd again on friday, it will take me a few hours to get my skill back but I will take the attack ship pa record down to 3:15 I assure you.

I'll also just improve me escape times and get some of my other records on tape like g5 and villa and maian and crap like that.

I got MBR A 1:23.

The run was good for the most part. I wouldn't say it's better than my other wr's. If it is it's only by a small amount. Earlier I had a 1:22 that got messed up. I probably won't go for it though even though I can get it. lol. I need to get a tape in soon before somebody decides I'm taking too much time.

those are the ones i remember.. the crucial part of the level is when u push the pres.. i got many good runs, but screwed up the end, and only got 0:56's. my 0:55 was average, tho. watch some vid to see where the pres is when u start pushing him..

slow parts are shield to lift press (1st), and lift shut (2nd) to end.
