The only reason I completed this was because the last interceptor glitched through the ground and didn't blow up the lift button. The was was mad though.

I recalled something. I'm pretty sure i've told you this already but...

To make the robot not land on you / techie / button and often go into that region down below:

come out of hole
hug wall
go halfway along this wall
stand for a sec (2, 3?)
back away from wall
look almost directly up
should be there if you've timed cinema well
will fall down the hole (most likely)

I did this all the time on my Infil PA runs and it works quite well.

3:07 Rescue PA, NTSC, taped. This ties my PAL record as well.

1:22 uplink start
1:30 uplink complete
2:07 Xray complete

What are the WR TTs?

Thanks to Bryan for his shoot-grenades-everywhere strat after getting the key, worked perfectly for me.

EDIT: NTSC total time 1:59:18. w00t. I broke the 2:00:00 mark :rolleyes

Also, if I only put my NTSC times in the Elite, I would have just passed the 4000 point mark.

Pelagic II SA 2:00 *new strat*

The strat involves doing the X-ray room first, then the GPS, then moon pool, then going to Elvis via the stairs.

Possibly. I know I thought of it myself, and I was talking to Matt one night and he said he might try "the different strat" (he never did, lol). He may have discovered it, but I discovered it as well. I couldn't be bothered to tell anyone, plus I couldn't get the timing right. The alarm would always go off.

I considered making a new topic for this, but decided against it.

On Escape SA and PA, all vids i've seen feature firing the grenade at the exploding wall, waiting for the explosion to go away, then going through. Can you see where this is going? Aim to the left of the wall, just close enough so that the wall blows up. You can get through immediately.

3:39 Escape SA. Very bad first half - only a 1:56 Jon.
***MUST READ*** - Revised

I've been working on strats to get to Jonathon faster. I might as well share:

tranquilize the first guy
tranquilize second guard
3rd guard opens door hopefully (probably)
change to primary function dragon
ignore 3rd guard
kill both guards
open door
switch to right strafe
Kill next guard on strafe (don't change strafe or stop!)
continue to jon as normal.

Now you have to manage the guard left behind, but this strat is 3 seconds faster than what bosshardt used if all goes well. Next:

Place the first mine where Phil does in his 338 PA vid, and the second where bosshardt does on his 334 SA vid. Why not like Dman said? It doesn't seem to work, probably due to not waiting for the explosion / being faster.
Blow up the wall Jon works on by aiming beside it. Go through immediately, kill guy, put medpack on.
Remote mines, blow up stuff

Hope it works.

Stay with Elvis/jon for 2 seconds after cinema. I fill the time by firing 2 - 3 grenades up the slope. Now go up and shoot guys in the exploding wall room. This should give a good elvis. The rest is simple etc.

There is also Agent, which i've had some thoughts about. Tranquilize the first guard and change to dragon on secondary function. Aim down and fire on full strafe. To take out the 2 guards you normally kill. To stopping strafing and you get two boosts!

I've been wanting to do 2 levels every time I watch the vids for a long time. I finally tried out Villa PA and got a PR within 20 minutes.

1:57 Villa PA. At least 7 seconds thrown away in the shocks, I actually went back to the first guy from the middle ones to make SURE he was dead, waste of time...Bah

2:27 Pelagic II SA. Very very fun level, speech skipped, still had to be cautious since I was nearly dead at Elvis, but holy @#%$ was my sprint to the end awesome.

And.....

1:16 Villa Agent. My God how shiitty, So far my best run is only a 52 generator, figures I have no CMP150 to finish THAT mission

What the hell bosshardt? did you read what i wrote? I said I can get to Jon 3 seconds faster than you and have minimal guys to clean up when herding him back to his objective. What don't you understand?

I suck at the ending, period. I know you can get to Jon faster, but I must be doing something right to still get a 1:48-1:49 Jon killing all those extra guards before initially getting to him. Shade could probably get 1:40-1:45 Jon if he really wanted to.

I can get fast Jons. I just got a 148 Jon or something (couldn't see) then the medpack cost me 5 seconds or more... then elvis did the gay turn around thing, then i stood in his way. 4 seconds lost there. Jon was great at the end though.

When i say i can get fast Jons.. i mean all the time... in every location where he matters. Expect good things.

7 seconds cut off each difficulty, 14 secs total. I broke the 36:00 SA mark!

Thanks to Matt for strats. Medipack worked straight away every time.

Oh, also 5:07 Deep Sea SA for NTSC. 55 secs cut there, no mines used.

Got a big question on Escape PA, how do you get medpack to complete often to get under 3:44? I've gotten that time twice which is why I didn't want to bother for lower until I knew what was going on. Where do you throw the mines and when do you blow them up? SA I didn't have many problems with it, but PA like never completed when I had 3:40ish runs going.

Matthijs, turn off autoaim for AF1 and get headshots.

Bryan, you threw the first mine on the barrel on your SA run. Throw it on the wall next to it. 2nd mine was perfect. After giving Elvis the medipack, run up the ramp halfway, throw mine, detonate (all 3 mines blow up at once). It should complete immediately, or before you can get back to Elvis.

I always used auto-aim for AF1. I can't think of a level in the game where I don't use it actually other than Air Base ending. :lol

I thought 1:29 was like maxed out or something? I got this in 5 minutes today, after about 15 playing last night (only completed a few times, mainly 1:33-1:35 range). This run was either 53.00 cutscene or 52.41 or something, I'm not too sure. Of course I got pwnzered at the blondies, and all of my 1:29/1:30 runs I would get to the end and smash B on the button 175 times in 1 second and it wouldnt finish, and I would get killed; this one completed right away, thankfully.

I got mad stuckage by a door on the return, and had only one open; what time should my cutscene be, and when should I be at the door when you return from killing everyone and you see the president? (high 1:12 for me on this run, I think).

I was at 1:31/1:32 pace, but got stuck at the last 4 consecutive doors due to nerves. With Auto Aim Turned off I kill those Blondes using only 8 bullet. Expect a 1:34 the coming days!
