Question about proof...
« on: November 11, 2003, 01:29:00 pm »
If I were ever asked to provide proof at any time, would I have to snail mail someone with a tape?  I don't have a camera, and wouldn't it be easier for one to post the video on the web instead of sending it via mail?

Not that I'll have to worry about that soon, with the times I've got, but just so I know.

If it was down to me I'd say yes - sending a videotape to a proof mod is the only way to prove yourself. Pretty much everybody in the world has a VCR and recording straight from the television is a piece of cake on videotape.

Taking the video with a webcam and uploading it yourself... is dicey, in my opinion. Our only source of proof in that case is the player himself...

Yeah, there's a proof FAQ page somewheres...

Check out the PDE FAQ too...

Yeah, I'd agree that first time proof should be sent to a mod via snail mail. Capturing it yourself is ok in my opinion after you've done that at least once.
