Shade's Air Base SA strat was very helpful...I didn't know the Drugspy and the lift-calling tricks.
That's another 1:03 off the SA total, very close to 1:00:00.

To finish off the month, I got some ok Invest times to cap off the great month.

Invest SA 2:16* (1:34/1:35 bot)
Invest PA 3:00* (SamSim strat with some modifications, threw dragon by door before uplink since my life was 3/4 gone about, hid camspy behind those gray boxes before getting K7 so I had to waste more time moving camspy after door was unlocked) I also failed a 2:57 with camspy being destroyed. Onto Crash Site next probably.

I guess I'll keep working on this level until I get 1:20-1:22. I can pretty much get 1:23-1:27 on any given run that obj 1 and 2 complete. Most of the time lost time comes down to the damn Pres...

Nice job YE and Bryan on those CS times. Before I got my 1:22 I never got worse than a 1:26 and got like a bazillion 1:23s. I actually want you to get 1:22. It will give me the incentive to get a WR.

Oh, and Bryan, any tips on Defense A 0:53? I have 54 and I get in the last room at 52 or better now almost every time. Any way to make the ending faster? DMan's run had a 1 second ending.

I'll just give you 2 major TTs that should help you monitor a chance at 53. When the 2nd lift closes, you should be under 18.7 for a chance really, and for the uplink, you want to break 38. I don't think the waiting in the end means a whole lot since I assume you strafe super fast there. I usually get there a little later and only wait 1-2 sec. I think you should go for the CS A WR. I could have easily had 1:21 on one of the runs if the Pres wasn't so gay early on. I just run backwards the whole entire time once I'm outside and take out the guard on the right if needed.

These took some time, but a lot of points to be gained here. PA is quite the bitch though. I failed a 2:00 with both end strats.

How often does the Pres complete? I think I heard somewhere that he completes about 1/20 chances.

The prez doesn't complete often, I believe when you wait to see him at certain spots it helps, but I can't remember them. gl.

Ok, technically I didn't get a better time but I did lower it.

Defense A 0:54.06!!! - Sooo close i pause a lot at the end to reduce lag so that is the actual decimal.

MBR PA 1:45, I am looking for at least 1:42 or so.

Cassandra and hostages, the amount of gayness they possess doesn't differ much...

As for PA, I am not sure if I use the right strat. After you plant the bomb in the lift, I head for the lift, then I unleash the bomb spy, go in lift, then use the bomb spy, lift stops, it says obj 2 completed, lift continues, continue as normal, and then I have to wait 3-4s for the other lift to arrive. Is that the right way of doing it? Please, somebody respond!

You have it mostly right, but you shouldn't blow up the bombspy right away. Stay in the bombspy view and then blow it up as the other lift starts to move. Then you won't have as long to wait.

I don't know if I should be happy about the time or not. With a 29.50 speech skip, I should have closed the deal with at worst 54, but because I don't use N-Bomb strat, a guard on the stairs @#%$ with me for 1-2 sec. Oh well. $:\$

Heh, I had to come up with some dumb excuse like I usually do.

P2 PA 2:29*

I had 4/5 of my life left, jeeze. That doesn't mean I want a lower time anytime soon though because the area around Elvis is a pain. I took pretty much every guard out around there.

CS PA 2:02*

- 1:22 just passed the saucer on the very right side of the rock heading back due to taking out the respawning guard

What shocked me the most about this run was that the Pres was heading the other way, or to the left side of the rock when exiting the tunnel. I just decided to keep going heading back to the tunnel on the left side of that rock as the Pres was passing on the right. (normally it's the other way around) Btw, I used the faster strat and didn't strafe a whole lot the last 20 sec of the mission really. I could see the WR going even lower than 1:56.

WTF, i got a 1:16 elevator close... so i theorically would have at least 2:00, or if i had a smooth end, 1:59. the last elevator closed at 1:40.20, i ended with prolly like 2:01.20.. my end seemed to be so smooth.. but im doin something wrong.

wouter or bryan or whoever, tell me whatever i may be doing wrong.. i need at least 2:00.

This could have been 43, but I had to get stuck a couple of times in the end. The lift was closed around 17.3 (17.0 is my best) Too bad 43 is only 1 point though, not even worth the time.

Which strat did you use? I know of three strats for Defection SA:

1. WR strat
2. Anael Raffin's video
3. Old (non glitch strat)

I got 0:45 with Anael's strat, so yeah. Works for me. What lift is the 'lift close'?

argh this day is bad, really bad.. first, my vcr goes totally crazy & weird. does it think it can become me or something?
anyway, it suddenly stopped recording and started rewinding while it was not at the end of the tape. then after like a minute rewinding, it just stopped and turned off. so I try another tape. it spits it out at once. wtf. I tried pulling it out the socket where it gets its energy, and back in other sockets, but no. I suppose it's dead. so I use my other own vcr now, but like you might already know, that one sucks even more for recording ntsc... I just watched the final part of my 1:37.. it seems clearer than before, but it still has grey "flies" like every 5 seconds for a second or 2. fatherfucking bad luck.

oh well, about the run.. this level is so shitty (so far).. I sucked so much that I had a 1:00 2nd lift or so, and obj 2 hardly EVER completes =\ and then I think I had a slow ending.
