If you throw the Dragon directly underneath the glass, the glass doesn't break. If you throw it to the left, it does. Very weird. I was testing this and threw it an insane distance to the left (almost aborted because is was so far), but the glass still broke.

I got bored of playing Invest A today, so I popped in my proof tape which Matt has recorded some runs on. Mostly Attack Ship, I'm tempted to play that again once I get bored of NTSC. But I saw some Escape PA runs which were almost exactly like mine (reloading in the same places, same tricks, etc). I think it's Matt's though, I don't remember taping any Escape PA. But anyway, that led me to give Escape PA a go, and after 5 minutes, I got 3:50.

I had 1:45 as I approached the door to the room where Jon plants the explosives. I was then bombarded with messages and couldn't see the TT for when the horrible music started.

Those are the only TTs I remember.

I don't remember playing any Escape:-/ If you say it's there then it is though. Don't rely on the strat i used... i mustn't have been going for a good time if i didn't get one / don't remember it.

This could have been the world record, but I double tapped B at the last door and got stuck while holding it open, therefore blocking Cass's path. I speech skipped both lines too (quite hard for me on NTSC).

I think it was 1:17 at the base of the first outside ramp.

hm.. gj at MBR, YE. go for the agent WR.. takes time but it's worth it. i guess.

anyway.. pd is so boring for me now.. im playing at least 4h of TFC per day, im getting really good at it and stuff.. the only level that i fell like playing is escape SA. played some today.. got a few 1:50 jon's (some could've been 1:48 if he wasnt gay). the medpack was fast once, hurray.. but then elvis was TOTALLY gay and i got a 3:37. this week i'll be out (brazilian meeting), and im hoping to get something like 3:29 on escape.. but whatever, i wont get it anyway

EDIT: Small emoticon error, and...

I've discovered a new trick in MBR. I ran up to Cass and punched her in the face, then paused to speech-skip Mr. Blonde's line. I heard nothing so waited a few secs, unpaused and paused again. I heard his "Go-", meaning I'd missed it. So I got angry and punched Cass in the face again, and to my shock Mr Blonde stopped his line and Cass said hers.

This might work anywhere with any line, but the person who you're speaking to must be of 'enemy' status, I think.

edit: on careful review of the vid, i see that i skipped the alarm guards, but got stuck on the stairs guard for a second. I'll have to start skipping them all the time if i want a good time

Though I'll stand by at least 49 being possible w/o skipping them. (duh)

Visualise a perfect Invest PA WR strat run:

1. All experiments are the first ones you activate
2. Jo doesn't tell the angry scientist to turn off his experiment (and hence no alarm being activated)
3. Not getting shot until leaving the last experiment room.
4. Making the lasers with 2 - 3 seconds to spare.

That happened to me. I got shot once leaving the last room, I felt like Neo in the Matrix, dodging all the bullets and stuff. Anyway, I connected to the PC, took the CamSpy photo and waited for the Door Unlocked message. I got shot maybe once or twice while waiting in CamSpy mode. After it appeared, I exited the CamSpy, strafed to the left and hit B to open the door. I missed it. Didn't notice until about 1.5 seconds later when I tried to go through it. Wasted another few seconds opening it (got shot HEAPS more), and got through with almost full red health.

I'm thinking "I'm gonna die I'm gonna die I'm gonna die" as I ran into the room with Dragon guards. They all fired, I freaked but kept my aim on the door. I entered the corridor to the shield tech room. I killed the first guard easily, and went to the door. I killed the guard on the right but the guard on the left ran towards me. So I ran past him to continue on (and avoid being punched) but he shot me in the back and I died. My end time was 2:30, and I estimate that I would have picked up the shield tech item at that time. It looks like it would take 16 seconds to get the the end, so my time would have been 2:46, tying Matt's.

Questions
Is there any way to make the guards open the wooden door consistently?
When an alarm is activated, no matter how fast I turn it off, the CamSpy is always destroyed. Any advice? (Karl did his failed run with an alarm being activated)
Any help on making Joanna shut up when it comes to talking to the angry scientist?

Useless Facts
Most of my runs end up being aborted at the wooden door.
I find it easier to speed strafe (not breaking strafe) from the lift through to the first experiment room, and maybe fire if the door opens in front of you. I barely get shot.

Time to start playing Invest PA, Matt. These are details for my run...

Made the lasers with a bit over half health.
Uplink guys shot me once, my health was now half.
Third-last guy to the shield tech item decided to roll so I couldn't kill him

I was slow killing the next two guys and only killed the one on the right.
Pulled out Dragon, got shield tech item, ran back and wounded both of them.
Stupid bastard in the main room shot my health into the red.
Same bastard shot me again when I was in the autogun room, almost full red.
Didn't get shot by autoguns.
End time = 2:44.00

I got this literally 10 minutes after waking up. Now I give to you...

How to Screw a 2:12 Invest SA Run in Three Easy Steps

1. Play the level as normal, but get a 1:31 bot
2. Forget to do the CamSpy trick (2 secs lost, 1 sec for each door)
3. Bring out the uplink just before opening the 3rd door past the lasers, which makes the door not open upon first B-pressing (understand?)

End Time = 2:15.36

I shouldn't have played this after PA, I forgot about the SA tricks
