It's nice to see a common chatter blasting quality gameplay, keep it up!

Any chance that you can get direct capture soon? Or you could use some cardboard and tape to make a bro-tripod mechanism and zoom in a bit. Great job nonetheless!

Maybe, but chances are small for an LTK run. I just want my LTK/DLTK runs out of the way. I might use a capture card for single segment run though.

*EDIT*: BTW, I use an iPhone with an unplugged alarm charger on the top, so that's how I've been keeping it up.

Grats on Jungle, Listener, but dude, you can't be cutting out parts of a video where you need proof, especially for a long level. All DLTK runs need proof, and any in LTK that are 90+ points and/or in the upper half also need proof. Do you still have the full footage of the run?

Okay, thanks. Yeah, sorry I didn't know it was frowned upon. The reason is because of the long wait and I felt people didn't want to watch me stand there while waiting for Nat. As for Depot, pretty much the same. As for Bunker 2, that was uninetional to be honest, since my phone stop recording. It wasn't even that big of a deal since I was pretty much done there. I noticed Lloyd didn't the same with the slapping so I figured I could do the same. And no, sadly I don't. I didn't even record since I wanted to charge my iPhone.

Anyway, once I get to Caverns and Aztec, they'll be cut into parts, but I'll pause, and then put it into one part to the other. It won't matter since there's no boring parts after another.

Vids on the rankings need to properly show that you got a time. Even if it's boring to watch, people can just skip sections when watching it on Youtube. Palmer does cut out the slapping, but he has the full video links in his video comments, and those times were also achieved long before proof calling LTK was a thing. You're going to have to dupe Jungle, unfortunately. =/ I'll let Depot and Bunker 2 slide though, so long as you don't cut out any more sections of your runs.

I'll cut out Jungle, B2, and Depot if it makes you feel better. Depot is the one I had trouble with the most but that's because I never played it before so it shouldn't be so bad the 2nd time.. I don't mind playing B2 and Jungle again, since I know what to do. Plus, that Jungle run wasn't that good anyway. Sadly, the site isn't working so I'll have to do it later.

And again, no. I'll try to one day, but right now that's all I got.

Well, I decided I'm going to get a motion capture card or maybe a camera. I'm taking a break from LTKs anyway. Maybe I might do the last 3 LTK levels with the regular phone, but that's. I'm glad I reached the top 20-25. I also might redo all my levels from start, but it's a might.

GV-USB2 = Japanese capture card that most SM64 players use. I think Goose uses it as well.
Dazzle DVC100 = Apparently this one is not expensive and does good N64 capture. A bunch of people use it.
EasyCap = Not the best choice, but cheap, and smooth capture. It's the one I use.
All of them are USB capture cards.

You'll have to get a splitter to make the N64 signal go to the TV and the capture card (unless your TV has the output jack, if so, you can use it). I don't use them because my TV has output, but it's one of those powered ones, I'm sure a bunch of people use it here.

For the software, generally it's AmaRec 3.10 + LAGS codec. The .avi files are huge but you can use some editing software to get your run and render it on a lighter format (as long as you don't splice the middle parts of it)

(in case you face this problem: here I have to check "enable null frames" on the codec and put the program on high priority in windows task manager otherwise the program eats up some of my video frames)

Well, I ordered one. Hopefully, this should be good. Sad, it had to be the last few levels, but as I said before, I might redo them if I have the chance. The good news is now I can do speedrun of Spider-Man. I might also do Turok hard mode, which a lot of people have been doing on easy, but hard seems more for me.

Yes, this time I didn't skip and it's all in one video. I apologize for the sound in the background in the video as well as my parents saying "hey dude." They just got home.

And I know it's not a capture card, but sadly mines didn't work. I will use one if I play to go for single segment or full length speed runs. Also, the ammo maybe too bright to see but I did make sure that I that I wasn't using infinite ammo cheat since around 12:00 in the video, I ran out of RC-P90/Pistol ammo, showed the cheats, and even showed the cartridge I wasn't using Gameshark whatsoever.

Another thing, I used a different recorder, which is my computer so I can extend the length now.

New Aztec DLTK Completion Strat

By using 2.X, we can get an early Moonraker, and one less guard later on. Guards when alerted during the opening cutscene will run forever, instead of eventually stopping. The early Moonraker means more damage in the intro area, a stronger ripping effect (AR33 only rips once per shot), and of course, infinite ammo in a level where it's tight at the start. It's a little annoying to play for, but it helps a lot. I'd suggest using it for those that struggle with the level. Could even make for a decent LTK strat (or 00A if you're really bad

).

Obviously, this isn't a good speedrunning strat though.

After getting a new pc that doesnt crash daily, I thought I would finally revisit this level and get what I want. It's done. FUCKING DONE.

STREETS DLTK 3:52

Before returning to Streets DLTK, I did practice with 0% damage and Gold PP7, after just a few attempts, I was confident enough to start grinding out the beginning.
This was the first time since playing again that I had a quick enough beginning to get the fast guard cycle, one of the best ever starts to the level.
After leaving the tank, I was 99% sure the tank strat would work, so I knew I had to be clutch. Odd movement leaving val was a bit scary, but fine.
Blasted through the GL/Body Armor room, got stuck but probably wasn't in any danger, sick GL shot while leaving the area.
Decent first KF7 trio, nice GL shot. Standard luck to survive the dash across.
Coming towards the last guards, I needed luck to stay on pace, and the luck was immense, I got the proper guard setup and didn't get hit at the junction. After this, I kinda screamed..
Clutch as fuck ending. SUB 4!

Dude, how to even put it in words. That run was all kinds of fucked! Quintuple kill start, fast cycle, clean BA+GL pickup, double crouch animation on the running GL shot, dashing across the street, perfect setups. It's one of those runs that's almost certainly going to be untied forever.

That GL shot was just insane. Incredibly risky but damn. Clutched it. Very fast beginning too. Will remain untied I think.

for now, icy has expressed interest in a time rank rivalry, so i'll probably compete and abolish some crappy first completion times, and i would like to point farm in LTK as well and maybe get a shot at 3rd.

Control Style: 1.2 and 1.1

Difficulty: very hard, takes a lot of practice

Hours to complete: about 90-100

Place: Puts me in 2nd place LTK/DLTK time rankings.

One things that's on my mind is that if he beats Silo, you got to go for Perfect Dark LTK. Heck if you can beat Train, you should definitely be able to beat PD LTK all around. And then you could be the first Mr. Cliff to have all levels beaten between both games. But I don't want to jump too far ahead, Silo is gong to be an insane challenge and I wish the best of luck to you when you go for it.

I'm not promising anything but I might consider going for another completion on Silo DLTK early next year when I have more time to play and I would probably stream it if I did.

Hopefully it wouldn't be too boring to watch though because it's hard to survive the first room if you're trying to be quick and getting good runs where the guards pull grenades can take a while.
