Got 22 the day I got Runway SA 22. Wanted to silently get 21 but I've been extraordinarily busy/lazy and I don't see myself playing for awhile. Played for 21 that same day and the next. Duped 22 and failed several 21s with one cam missed. 21 is decent though I think it should have some more ties. I'm sure I can get 20 and it might be something I go for in the near future.

Wow, I've achieved some stuff that I'm very satisfied with lately. Bunker 2 A 0:29 and Archives A 19 (1.1 control style on everything in this post) each took multiple hours, and now my thumbs hurt a lot and I have a blister on my left thumb. Train 00A 4:50 was surprising, as well as Aztec A 2:30 (my first time getting the glass opened by the guards on Agent). Depot A 28 really surprised me, I got my 1st train shot with almost no slowing down. Dam SA 1:28 happened really fast and I was blown away to see that, I had 1:32.

Next up is Surface 1 1:11, Surface 1 00A sub 2:20, Facility 00A sub 1:40, Dam A 55, and more improvement overall.

Now that I've started using a Japanese cart, a lot of my times are going down. I'm in a relatively-decent groove, and scored my first points on Dam Agent, as well as scoring some new LTKs. Since my PhD studies have begun, my playing time in general is going to be reduced, and my capture card is not working with my TV, so unfortunately, recording my progress is stuck at the moment.

Hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to start applying more complicated strategies (namely 2.X) for the levels and start racking up more points. Planning to also reduce times for Frigate SA and 00A (have to nail that warp), along with Archives, Runway, and ESPECIALLY Bunker 2 (need to plan better routes for that level).

So I know that you hate 1.2 (and hate hearing about it too ), but why not pick up 2.X? Even if you also hate operating 2 controllers, there are quite a few levels where you can just have the 2nd controller sit and you'd be able to play the 1st one 1.1ishly. Streets Agent 1:14 should be cake points for you.

I've tried 2.2 on Surface 2 Agent and I couldn't adapt to it. The door warp at the end was especially difficult. Your Streets 1:14 idea is intriguing, but I forget how to CC, would I even need to? How do you CC with two controllers? I could try Streets in 2.2 without CC, I might be able to adapt to it, but as for other levels, probably not. I thought 1:14 would be worth 0 points but apparently not, huh. I just got like 5 PRs today, so I'd like to keep focusing on improving my Overall Time too. Also, I still have some levels with times over 8 minutes, having less red on my times page would look nice.

CC-ing with 2.2 is best for streets; you don't have to touch the second controller! Also...

Red doesn't exist on times pages anymore.

He's talking about N/A's and how they are no longer the darkest red, but rather just gray.
Time ranking focused players (such as Benobot) still have dark red on their worst times. Even myself, I have 3 zero pointers in GE that are dark red.

1) Set controls to 2.2.
2) Hold down-left on the control stick of the 2nd controller and press L+R+Start to reset where the controller stick detects is neutral.
3) Set the control stick to up-right and use something to keep it in place (rubber band, wedge of paper, etc)

Now you'll be automatically strafing to the right and starting Streets Agent at full speed if you watch enough cutscene and saving ~0.35s or so. You can let it sit and just operate the 1st controller using the stick to turn left/right and look up/down, Z to fire, and A to switch weapons. That's it! You should be able to get 1:14 with a little guard luck and a bit of grinding for some nice points.

Shaved another minute off my total time. Actually had a Silo Agent 1:10 going until I got stuck on a corner and then proceeded to get backboosted twice, then the lag had its way with me with many an explosion. I need to start actually grinding levels that I'm closer to WRs on, and start using 2.X on levels like Streets. Had about 10 1:15s in a row on 1.2, and was only about .2 seconds away from 1:14. Finally also starting to get the hang of bug throws, finishing with consistent 28 or 29s with Obj. A fails. Stupid hostages

I wasn't expecting the second points-worthy time I ever submitted to be Silo 00Agent, but I guess life just works out that way. I would have had an even better time, but the camera decided not to take the picture of the satellite on the first try. Lost at least four seconds because of that and the subsequent lag from enemies.

Achieved at Eise's place. First PR in a year. Failed some 1:37s. Not very happy about the run but it's not every day you get a PR during a meet.

You can get much better if you rush the radio instead of approaching by shooting, which is not even a safe/consistent strat, also messes up sci lure. Also by sticking to right strafe on the upper catwalk (in case you don't shoot the 3rd guard before B)
