you can still get the boost, but only AFTER the guard has made the full circuit of the hut. So instead of getting boosted at any random time you usually get boosted as you're pausing. Is that so bad?

Maybe its because people dont like watching boring, long cinemas. id much rather gamble with a annoying boost than have to watch like 20 seconds of cinema or something

I'd rather watch 10 seconds of cinema than restarting 35 seconds into the run. It probably works out you have a lot more runs in the dam this way. Overall means less time.

EDIT: "Surely all the extra cinema = bad double gates more often anyway?" This sadly does seem the case, but for people like myself who just want decent pr's it's a fairly decent strat.

Well I realized that all this time..... (playing S1A)    I have been using my right thumb to press B to shut down the console. (Stupid I know) So i was extremely slow coming out of that room. So I start using the alien index digit tonight and BAM Im flying out the door and down the stairs like I should be. Thank goodness for REAL GE epiphanies..... because I finally attained 1:03
I could have had this a month ago    

Oh yeah this is my first PR as an Eliter....... Im so happy!

hehe yeah, I remember when I got 1:03, I was the 4th person to do it, and first to do it with no dot. Did it 1.1 CC as well. It was one of those WRs that proved I could play GE and I wasn't just a burnout with the s2 51, silo 131 and stuff. Just felt so good, especially after 63 104s. Definitely one of my favourite records I've got. Enjoy it QSTAR!!

Back in 1999, I tied the Cradle A WR with 0:38!

My first GE PR!

(It may have been 37, actually, but my N64 isn't hooked up so I can't double-check! Whatever the WR was back in 1999, I had it tied, but no one believed me so they wouldn't add me to the ranks. :( )

lol, okay. I guess for you two people you guys had those type of avatars for a while, so you arent really being trendy, but its so stupid how like every random eliter has some girl avatar, i mean give me a break. But what I mean is how ryan comments on how his avatar is better than vitors simply because its a  woman to look at and fantasize about or WHATEVER, what I am saying is that vitors avatar is no worse or better, because it could have a meaning to him that you cannot relate with or see.
