I never payed much attention to it but Ouromov always looked better than Ourumov.

You could save .26 if you did a quick pause before the first pause.  But what about doing one before throwing the second C4, seemed like you had to wait at that door for a little bit.

This route could save a lot of time on console.  Also on console don't you normally do a quick pauses at first door since you don't go for the uber warp?  Just do that first quick pauses, then two at the door you have to wait on, then maybe one more at the next door if you can't warp it fast.

lol dont blame your cartridge you can get it but you are not willing to put true effort into it and dont give me some list of how many times you tried and all this shit. Why dont you actually dedicate a good 3-5 days and truely try for 53. i guarantee you will get it. None of that half ass bullshit either you got to WANT it. NO EXCUSES it honestly shouldnt take more than 10 hours(if you are really trying for it). Good Luck

Dude, I've tried 3-5 days straight, 10 hours/day, at least 12 times in my Goldeneye career. It's 100% my cartridge. Someone send me their cartridge and I GUARANTEE a 53, otherwise I will send them $100 back.

Im trying to help your ass out and give you motivation man cause i know you can do it i wouldnt be doing this if i didnt think you could. Im not looking for some sort of fight or argument from you/someone im just trying to get you to do it...your being lazy.

Me being lazy, or me simply not wanting to play a level I don't find fun and doing things that I do find fun?

well ya you are right about that the level is not really that fun at all. Well do as you please i dont care anymore. When i first started playing i chose a level i wanted to get a WR on and i read peoples biographies on speedrunwiki. I saw that Ilari had gotten 53 as his first and that he was some great ownage player later on. I then thought to myself im gonna get that one and show people i can get it as my first also and i would never stop playing until i did get it. I didnt care how long it took me i was gonna get it no matter what... and i did cause i wanted it badly enough. i can see that you clearly lack the motivation and its not your fault. You have been playing a long ass time and have gotten tired of the damn level which is fine, but maybe in the future you should try for it again.

Finished my Silo run in same time as Simon, 1:07!

Vid will be up soonish. In the meantime any ideas for frigate are welcome. I'm mainly wondering about which strat is optimal for TAS..Wr strat or something else? All hostages will be manipulated to escape as fast as possible so a strat variation may be in order..

You both guys still had one health bar by the end, couldn't you have had one more boost? And also, can't you boost yourself with those big PCs by the last turn?

I thought about that! But the end of the level is so laggy, firing 5 bullets in the comp' would be a loss IMO.

I thought you could still have one more boost there from guards! And with 2.3 you can fire while strafing, so I don't see how you'd lose time shooting the PCs there

You could save .26 by doing a quick pauses before the first pause, do the math...

For frigate you might want to try the SA strat, and go around by the slow guard to get the last guard since it's faster than going back into the bottom of the engine room.  Then if your especially fast you could try keeping the bomb defuser out, get shot through the pipes, then defuses the last bomb, and save the hostage fast.

If you do end up doing all 3 pauses you save .22 by doing a quick pause first.

Basicly it's extremely laggy in ending meaning shots even from a KF7 will be VERY slow, and comps are only visible for a breif amount of time, in which you wont be able to shoot all 5 shots. And believe me when i say another boost would kill me :P If you look carefully you can even notice me avoiding death on several occasions(Reason for not pausing immideadly for camera after killing the 2 guards, otherwise 2 boosts there, also before last catwalk i look slightly upwards to avoid another shot).

I'm having a hard time understanding why it'd be slower because it's not much different from runway agent with the grenades.

Only thing I can think is runway is smaller level and can have smoke without much lag where as streets cannot.  or smoke close together makes more lag.

For frigate I'm think the engine hostage is too slow to do the SA strat.  Henrik said like 28 seconds and it takes only like 24 at most finish level from there so it's probably faster to go straight to engine room warping pipes asap, then save slow hostage and faster hostage, the back to warp pipes, maybe open door for engine hostage I think he goes through the pipe room door.

My money's on that strat, maybe with really fast play engine hostage will still be slowing the run down, but if not, it'd be nice not to have to get really lucky with engine hostage not getting any stucks.

go for 52
