Yes it is 51 speed. 51 is quite possibly human maxed. There's far too much pressure on that throw, insane nerves, got to get a grenade, would take an insaneR throw than the 1 i'm using. Mine throw (doesn't really deduct any total time. But I can't begin to imagine how hard that mine throw will be when A Completes) and to finish off an insane warp. I'm not completely ruling out 50 ATM. But I can't see it.

Well you could go for just 53 and not bother with the trainshot at all, wait out the cinemas or so and I think there's a slight chanse you might have the train door open even without trainshot. It's kinda easier when you know you don't have to bother with the shot but I guess it's also easy to just do it, just have to keep cool when you nail it.

What is this? Illus advice/congrats giving day.. I have a few posts done now in each main topic in 15min soon, oh well.

Control A 4:01... A was up for over a second, don't know how I got so far off for the ending timing. I think my VCR is stupid. This happened to me on a 4:03 where A was up for a good 3 seconds although there I was slowed up killing guards. I've had so much fucked up stuff happen while trying for this wr...

just use the music to determine when to jump into the elevator for 3:59, but ya I probably won't try for that anymore either, remember Ace had to try 100h to get that

As long as you cut the cinemas at exactly the same time everytime, and make sure to never pause throughout the run, only then can music maybe be helpful. Doesn't it also matter if guards block Nat after she runs back?

no cyber, the music can still get messed up from lag and stuff even with perfect cinema cuts. We know this because of levels where we watch the whole cinema and still get music inconsistencies.

The cinemas don't even matter. I judge how good my start is by the music, and then I adjust all my other timing checkpoints according to the previous ones. So it's all relative. But yeah, it seems as though the music is more or less consistent up until her last message during the protect. By the time she completes there is already some weirdness with that message sometimes, and then the music can be off my as much as a second or two by the time you get to the exit. That's just what it feels like from experience, never tested it thoroughly.

The music seems consisten tto me as well until the end, where it becomes totally random it seems. What I do for the end timing is, once nats message fades, when the VCR timer hits the next number i just count that as 1 , and keep going, if the next number hits as soon as it fades, i exit after i count to 18, since if i left at 17 itll be more like a low 16 exit, although i have a hard time nailing good endings if it so happens that the timer switches right after her message fades, since its tough to determine when its a mid-high 17, and a lot of times i end up getting a flat 18 ending instead.

Played a bit on Jungle on PAL and thought I'd try this out too, It's not so disadvantaged but might lose 1 second overall. This run had a slow guard reaction at the start and 3:1 ratio at the crate area with a low 18 exit.

Jungle A 0:55 (no ladder warp at all)

This was absurd, I set the warp up just fine, and after 3 gun switches I still didnt warp it lol...I counted about 4 secs lost with my vcr timer, and the run had like 7:1 or 6:1, so maybe lost 51, smoothe run.

I did 201 with open tunnel door strat.. try it out on some runs. just when you have kf just walk forward for the lockshot while shooting 10kf bullets, when you hit the lock switch to strafe

if you can play tha strat it's good maybe

this was by far the worst GE run i have ever done. Trev got stuck for like 1 sec on the railing, so i strafe dinto the railing for 1 sec then threw the nade more to the left, and then i went forward, then turned back around after it hit him to see if he died, and i saw him laying on the ground lol. So those 2 things easily costed me like over 2 seconds, kinda weird since ive had 36 on a pretty smoothe run, then somehow 37 on this junk run.

to be honest, 51 and 54 are excellent and I don't think I could get either barring a truly valiant effort, but I'm pretty sure I could get 56 00A quite easily (you know what I mean by easily, always feeling encouraged and like when you get a clean run you will get it, and in under 20 hours) even with 1.1 CC and NTSC. imo the WR should be at least 55 which would be very solid (not gaseous or liquid). It's hard to say the WR should be 54 but really that's the point where I think it could remain untied. I'm surprised 56 has gone so long... one would have to think all of the top 4 are capable of 55, adding Cervone, Wouter and I as possibles to get 56.

I seem to complete and survive only on the terrible runs. Also the 1:01 I didn't take a single hit after the drone back after the ladder. What a waste. I've had 3 57/58 speed runs everything completed where I could've used that but instead got shot at the last turn.

yeah that last 52 was like the most insane run ive ever done. I had a 6 bullet xenia and then she even boosted me with a grenade lol, like one in a million xenia, then also 8:0 overall though a small barrell stuck after last drone. I saw 50 in this run, actually i think with a great lift warp, maybe it would have been 50, if it was a low 52 and the warp costed more than 1 sec....Ill keep it taped.

Aztec A 1:35 x3 (no running)

I honestly have no clue how I got 131, i cant even get a good run together without running lol, which has much less lag and way more ammo so its tons easier. I did have a 134 going during countdown, but that laser dick came up to the top of the ladder and killed me ROFL, i was ducking and trying to snipe him out, but couldnt hit him.
