Oh well I think I am going to quit playing this or something. It was fun at first, but this session was god awful and the scientists have been failing like 49/50 runs lately. I have tried all sorts of stuff but they keep failing. Not just that but random guards stepping/jumping in my way and backboosts have driven me to near insanity lately, kinda blew up during this session and threw my controller and started punching stuff lol.

How is it you've failed so many 00 runs like that? You know to time your exit based on the Nat's last message, and not just the timer, right?

Yup heard that a few times just never bothered to get into it. I'm really lazy learning new stuff. Anyway, if i've exited 10 tenths later it would most likely have been a 151. 150 is really a pain in the ass, it's crazy enough to get a run going..

Lol it's not much to learn. Objective completes exactly 10 seconds after first message, figure out how long a fade takes and your set. If you don't wanna time it you can still get a very good idea about how fast/slow Nat is and adjust your ending accordingly.

Shocking is a good description. Missed opening the bug throw door as I was pausing, so had to open it and throw quickly. Would have looked cool if it had completed. I think I have 2 or 3 other failed :23s where I initially missed the door but nailed the throw. Maybe I should actually start going for :23 instead of just messing around with it.

Well it isn't so bad since you have barely played for 23 anyway and got that fail. I also had some gay runs that ended up being a 24 screwed out of 23, but that was when I just started playing it so those didn't bother me. It sucks when you have played it like 30 hours and then that stuff happens. Anyway 3 people have already fluked 23, so I think that is enough to last the next 100 years

Caverns SA death in last room on a SA speedrun

not sure the pace of this speedrun.. wasnt very good though overall. Had some really shitty times like Control 4:41 and Train 1:49, although I suppose maybe it wasn't that bad still, sub 29 perhaps with an insane Aztec run though still. Control was just so gay. It was like a 4:15 pace run and I had to wait by the lift for all that time lol... thats like a 40 nat or something... ridic. I always get slow Nat's on SA speedruns though.

But it was funny because I wasnt even paying attention to my health either on Caverns. I was just focusing on trying not to fail the scientists (used a safe strat for the C part to try and lure one out, though actually i think both still died on this run LOL), then when i went into the tunnel i realized i had just under 2 bars of health... I knew it was over at that point.

Control SA death INSIDE THE LIFT on a SA Speedrun after waiting at least 20 seconds for Nat to complete (40 Nat)

This is like the 5th time this shit has happened to me on a great run. I refuse to believe this is just simple luck. I timed the guards just fine and everything, and I get a 18 Nat like 1/3 runs normally.

Aztec SA death entering vents (pretty annoying considering I had 5 bars going into the last room AND dodged the laser guard), 135 pace

Took this really sloppy turn into the vents though. Got boosted as I was approaching those crates by the vents and it knocked me into the crates on the right, just didn't react well at all, I guess it's hard to though since it happens so fast and you get stunned for so long and stuff, and nerves.

Its perfectly ok to continue a run where b fails on frigate if you are just messing around with the level and not particularly going for :23

Although I have wasted tons of time, not pausing out, when it was obvious I would have no chance at the record I was going for... in the past.

Well, some of them were before 1:07 completion actually which alone took 15 hours, + the ones now after which is 20-25h or so. That gives 35-40h, so 2 106 per hour in average so far lol. But I have really failed 106's a lot more lately now.
