I honestly think it will complete though.... and just to clarify further I dont use this strat every run... I make the decision between boosted mine throw and normal throw ending, by what happens when I turn towards the plane (boosts, angle, position). Im taking a page from your book... Im trying to do it as fast as possible even if it has a lower percentage rate of completing.

I've tried those grenade strats before while trying for 0:36 last Easter.

I preferred doing the boosted missile battery throw, its the strat I found easiest and came closest to getting 0:36 with and when the last drone does blow up quickly you get a second chance by throwing the last grenade unboosted. I might have another try for 0:36 later this week.

Bryan's strat is frustrating because its so rare that the last drone blows up early enough and when it does a guard often shoots the last grenade out of your hand instead anyway.

Cliff, just keep in mind that these are grenades, and not mines, lol. Thats why I was confused.

But anyway, I spent most of my time for 36 (had at least 100 legit 36 fails missing just the battery, in about 15 hours) just playing for a boost before I threw the nade to 3rd drone. What I mean is, instead of getting a drone back like my 37 after throwing the nade at 2nd drone, Id wait out a guard boost to save time. But after a while I realized that strat can only get 36.9s anyway and although I had very close calls, it doesnt seem worth it. Then I tried doing Bryans strat, but I have several big problems. First of all the 2nd drone only seems to be able to boost you if you get a guard boost after the throw, and second the nade never seems to even make it far enough anyway. I tried priming it ASAP but it still seems to always blow up a good ways from the drone itself. Do you think going more to the right might make it easier? Thing is I took seemingly the same lines as Bryans 36, yet it still doesnt ever blow up. I did a very very low 36 fail where all I missed was the 3rd drone (got the battery duh), so its very irritating,and unless there is something i am missing here, 36 is a really good wr.

you get the last drone to blow up using his strat? if I could only just do that, I could get 35.. but since to me it seems like the most luckiest thing in any speedrun or so, 36 is crazy (at least with that strat).

Yes yes grenades not mines.... Brain farts I guess.

I looked back at Bosshardts 36 and I do it very close to the way he does it(with out that extra guard boost). A normal throw there for me gets the nade right below the base of the drone mount.... a good throw destroys it. Also check to see if you are destroying the 2nd drone too early (its easy to do) I only need one hand to count how many times I did not get that boost (so no more than 5). Still though 1 destroyed 3rd drone every 30min. for me on average.

I also noticed that (according to the music) your begining and Bryans begining are like .2 (maybe more) faster than mine.(this is very frustrating)

Im not sure about going more to the right on Bryans strat .... I think I do go more to the right. Also on 90% of my runs where B completed the 3rd drone did not stop shooting so I dont stay in the that zone where the 3rd drone cant shoot you, very long at all maybe I should though...

Im going to try the way you did 37 tonight.... then I guess I try to hit it hard before you or Adam gets it.

Like I said... im losing .2 or more at the start (im working on it).

Just running to the plane without waiting for the last nade to explode gives me a :35 and has given me :34... Ive only had one :35 where i didnt destroy the last drone or the missile battery but I waited for the sound of the explosion (but the nade might have boosted from too far away so no chance at completion anyway?) although I certainly went through the motions. So I dont have any legit :35 fails. But the :36 fails have to be mid to low for me.

Interesting... Bryan also mentioned to me that I need to work on getting the 2nd drone to blow up LATER, so I should try and work on that some more soon. ALso, maybe if I go more to the right I can get the nade to actually land close enough to the drone, hm. Although for 35 i think i will still need like 3 boosts.

^ imo-it's pure luck! just try watching the vids again (i know that they arent very good quality) and figure out the angle to launch that SOB mine from... will probably take many hours

but once you get the warp down (pretty easy) you should fail :50 every time

Not pure luck at all. But I can't really explain it. Just watch vids over and over (especially my 50 vid since that's the best S2 A run ever, fuck all the people with 49 as they are gay, except for Dan Cervone and Cliff is alright I guess) and hopefully you can get the feel for it.

Yeah look at the vids (mine would be best

) where Im throwing from, where the dot (if you have one) is when I throw it and listen for the beep when I detonate... and then do exactly that a couple of million times.

Turn the brightness on your computer up, you can make out the building and stuff.

I was getting :50s for a while...until i figured out I was turning towards the bunker too slow.

Having quite alot of fun with jungle atm.

jungle agent 0.58 (4) drones everytime.
Also had a 57 fail.

Now using the strafe lines all you guys use, find it ALOT harder to time the throw right, usually lands on some tree hah. Also never realised that warping the end with mine to watch is like 99% successful. I was previously just changing random guns. One of the most fun times with this game is the learning of a new level to speedrun

Boosted nade throw toward the missile.... it hit the pillar that it sits on about halfway up.... bounced to the ground and immediately blew up. So basicly if I had received that boost a fraction(?) of a second later it would have been a :36.

I didnt want to post anymore Runway fails but this one was close.... I think.

Got killed blowing up the console, this was easily 34 pace till I got backed 4 times, then died at the console because of that. I definitely think 34 will be done on SA, but 35 seems good enough for 00A.

I thought about that, and my answer is yes. I mean think about it, trev should die like every time, just left strafe the console, and then 34 speed is kinda easy I guess, especially if you got a boost, then were talking 34.5 territory.

No Henrik. Throw it in the hut from the spot we wait on agent. It blows up, kills trev the moment he becomes vincible and then you run in and do the console.

so in pondering this potential strat, does the timing still work out the same? i mean wont the hut guard come out and bap you out causing you to throw the nade prematurely? or does this still work like on agent? any one got any vids of this even remotely coming close to working?

I dont think you can blow up the console as well...cause the way I do it I already aim for the very left side of the door, and if you throw it more left it will disappear or bounce off (and the console isnt even close to the explosion). Besides, if it did blow up the console youd be more likely to get backed or killed by the explosion, so having it a bit away may be ideal, and unless you get the nade right in the right spot, Trev still wont die. The only way i can think of to kill both Trev and the console would be to perfectly bounce it off the right wall from a different angle, but that seems much more difficult to do.

Anyways :24 failed on frigate agent 1 hostage released. Completed objective B. Yes Trent I was getting :23's all day only shooting the one guard and hostage NOT both guards LOL.

:23 of course is just sick...just like most of the times on here.
I was mostly failing 25's and 26's. I know when I got my PR/ Wr at the time it took forever...
I don't have a GE cartridge and don't really have time to play.
