Do a bit mroe lookdown in the library area, it helps ALOT, with lots of lookdown it runs perfect smooth. Makes a Big difference IMO

With that you can surely get 55s

That Odin thing was really lame. It's obvious ppl are gonna look for something wrong in the videos since nobody can be that good and claim they JUST started playing GE for fast times.

It was a lot funnier a few years ago when Breck claimed Investigation PA 2:43 in PD by playing through in slo-mo, speeding up the video, making it shitty quality, stealing paragon's end screen and posting it.

Nobody accused him, only "great job!" and stuff. It was funny b/c later people said that they initially suspected something, but took no action and made no accusations.

Anyway, on topic....

@ Cyberwrath, my point really was just to let people know how lame the whole proof thing really is. People are just getting really uptight and it's really restricting. I mean guys were claiming Ace was fake, I guess thats probably why he is whoarding now or something because people flamed him when he got 1:58. Even went so far as to say he didn't have enough excitement in his posts. And I'm sure the same goes with Leo and Guillherme. If you watched the WRs I posted, the runs were legit. I don't see how it could of been TAS'd or 'faster strafing'. What I'm trying to say is just lighten up a bit on the 'proof now' etc, I'm sure these guys will post up their awesome vids sometime.

Is that really the reason you did it? Cos that doesn't really make much sense... I can't really see how you can compare a n00b who's played for one day to well known veterans of the elite. Obviously no one's gonna believe someone who claims a WR after one day of playing, so no offence but you didn't really prove anything.

We treat ace bad cause we don't like him. Many of us aren't friends with him and aren't on good terms with him. Look at anyone in the elite who doesnt have a lot of friends and look how they're treated. Same deal, except Ace gets good WRs and stuff.

Just think how cool it would be if all the top GEers were great guys, like Illu, Alex, Glen, dare I say Wouter? Guys who are just awesome to talk to, always can comment or talk about a run, and people that everyone can cheer for. Personally, I know when a guy like myself or Clem gets a WR, half of you are going "oh fuck, I don't want to see this guy succeed." And I know to be honest I think that when I see some certain people get WRs.

Just think how great it would be if the personalities of all the players could be such that everyone was always cheering for everyone. It would be a better place no question.

That's the whole point of competition, I guess. By seeing this new guy rising up, you feel mad about it and want to show everyone that you're better than him.

The whole point with Ace is jealously (sp?), really. He just gets those insane WRs at an incredible rate, and many of you wished to be just like him. everyone maybe seems to forget, but the thing that got me here is GE speedrunning. the only reason I'm here is my love for the game and getting good at it. I like to see the game being pushed to its limits and you may have noticed that I encourage Rayan more than probably anyone else. it's because I see potential in him. he's doing a good job at what he's here for. if you're looking for social shittiness, then you're in the wrong orgy. I'm actually eager to see him and it does me good when I see him post. I like it when he is online and I get along well with him. besides, any so said ages and stuff don't matter, since this is online we're talking about, anyone could be lying about his age and actually be some old hairy misformed lazy dirtbag as much as the other could be. sure, some people I can get along with and I don't mind talking every day stuff with, but it's not the reason that got me here, nor what keeps me here.

to all who's having problems with it:
how about you direct your frustration from not getting enough social activity in real life at something else and stop coming here, since it's clear that you are only a bad case of fungus that doesn't respect what this community was originally about.

I agree with Wouter. Though what keeps this community together is not only the WRs or anything, it's also chatting and social interaction imo. If everyone was just posting records and nothing more, I think people were getting bored with the game a long time ago. Things like the contest/chatroom/forum are very important. And well, everyone is different and if Rayan for example doesn't want to participate then that's his choice, nothing wrong with that.

Although if I may admit 4:00 on Control Agent is not totally out of the question for me, having failed a 4:01 missing one of the consoles. But since I don't use a timer for Nat's leave I have to sort of "feel" for it, and hope she escapes in the fastest time.

finally got the route down thanks to eddie's video!

only good thing that happened here was the keycard guy wasnt stupid and decided to be in a good spot where I could instantly kill him. the rest of the run was bad, I got stuck alot and the second-to-last camera wasted 10 seconds alone cause there was atleast 10 billion guys shooting at me which killed my accuracy coupled with insane lag which made me shoot like 1 bullet per 3 sec im suprised I hit it at all lol..

If I could take this to sub 1 minute I would be happy.

Id reccomend cutting out the 2nd cinema late as possible if you want to use it. By watching both I feel you start slower, Ive tried it before. The klobb guy should still be out of your way almost everytime anyways

There was a stuck getting out the door at the start, library area looked fine for 55 pace. The stairs though after double doors, you lost a fair amount of speed id say, but that may have been because of that awkward boost, but you may be losing time there reguardless. the area from double doors to the bottom of stairs door in general was slower then ideal on that run Is all I mean.

Your safe to door before window was shakey too, but the end from that door to window was good. I reccomend a bit of lookdown from safe to window but you dont have to do much, I find it runs smoother when I do that

But yeah with those improvements which you can surely do, can get you 55s :hat
