Frigate Secret Agent New Strategy??? (00A as well???)

Ok, since Jack said that the engine room hostage is capable of escaping faster than the first hostage we save on 00A, I figured a way to incorporate this into SA...

As you can see, we would now be saving only the fastest hostages.  This is a 1:03 fail with several errors and leads me to believe this strat is:

a) faster

b) more likely to complete



I need Jack to confirm this but if it's true then bingo, here comes 1:01

Would it not be even faster to warp the bars going to the engine room hostage? And maybe shooting him first before pausing for the bomb(to give him more time to escape)

Looks like a winner to me; warp the pipes both ways, it's gonna be faster than going around the engine. Free the guy from the catwalk, then pause for the decoder. And then, you are saving the fastest four.

Discussing this level a bunch with Goose tonight gave me some ideas to try out for 00 too,,, but I need to test the other two hostages on the lower level some more to say for sure.

Warping from the other direction, is alot harder.

Also you gave that last hostage 25-29 seconds to esacpe or so, can he really escape that fast? I'm guessing not.

You must not understand how much time we give the 3rd hostage (1st on 00A) to escape on the current SA strat then.  It's like 2 seconds more and he's slower!

I counted 32-33 seconds based on your 1:04 vid, and 32 on your 1:02 vid. So i do understand the difference in time.
What i don't understand is how the engine room hostage is faster then the 1st hostage on 00. Not only does he have to be faster, but he also has to be 2-4 seconds faster to make this strat faster in the long run. Right?

I don't understand it either, but Jack said that the engine hostage is 4 seconds faster than the 1st 00A hostage, which is enough to make this strat more likely to complete in theory.

Still need him to have fastest escape (and the other three). It's potentially faster but ain't gonna improve completion odds any.

Here, new 00A strat too.  Shown following is a video of an SA 112 which shows the strat (it was easier to do on SA)

You can see how fast the hostages escape.  I'm assuming around 107 for the first 4, and we know the 5th is totally independant on how quickly we reach him.  I definitely think this strat can get 109 or 110 on 00A and is a much more consistently completing strat.

You'll notice I only changed one thing, and this is getting the engine room hostage out earlier.  I'm sure this strat will cut a few seconds off TAS also and I highly reccomend using it (Jack )

Looks good and fun, and a hell of alot better chances then the other strats discussed so far. It is slower, but i bet alot easier to complete. aka less insane luck needed.

I like the new strat easier to survive per say. I would day max time with that is 1:06? Maybe 1:05 all depending on the hostages..?

Seems like more distance, but now you are killing the engine room hostage on the run...damn I don't think I'll be able to try it til Saturday
