I've thought for a long time that Frigate SA is terrible, 1:06 took far longer than 25 (I guess I was lucky though) it's so much harder to get a decent run together on SA. Then for the hostages to escape in time is terrible since the last one is rare enough to escape ever in time as you run to the boat like mad.

I've spent more time on SA than getting 26, 25 and 24 on agent combined. Yeah its definately worse completion odds for under 106 SA than 24 A, and its just really lame. So many hours well we'll see what today has in store.

edit - there goes another hour of failing 10-15 1:03s and a few more 1:02s. :rolleyes

Control A 4:04

Craziest run ever, I had a pretty good start like always, then after remote mines i get a good boost, then at crates area i get 3 BOOSTS, then i did a nice mine boost so a total of 5 boosts before the glass. THen of course i nailed the glass with an instant destruction. Natalya was a bitch as usual and didnt escape, prolly cause i entered the lift a second early or something.

Still only 4:04?! I suppose the lame explanation to this is "Natalya was slow" or something like that. But still, she's fast more rarely than the hostages on frigate.

^ Control is a bitch. Its really tough to get a clean run together. either the glass doesnt blow up fast, you lose too much health, a drone survives, natalya is slow, guards roll, natalya doesnt escape. So much can go wrong control is INSANE. but yet its the funnest level EVER. weird huh?

Anyway, archives agent :16.

I even had natalya door wide open! @#%$ i hate that blind whore.

Yeah i'm starting to get Control now. If i can just nail the beginning then i think i can get sub 4:20.

Awesome start, though i still didnt have the lift door opened as i returned.

Ok i suppose you wonder why the hell i'm posting a 4:05 here but what's funny about this run is that it was probably 4:01 speed up until second meeting(I know it was faster than the 4:02 vids i've seen), then i get as usual a fast Natalya(she being halfway down stairs after shooting the screen like Ilari does). Then everything goes smooth, except that Natalya doesn't escape(i probably waited a second longer than what's needed for a wr since Natalya never escapes at 17 whatever speed anyways). So obviously i thought this run was a 4:02. But then 4:05 shows up which is very strange since my 2 4:05 completions i got before this was WAY worse, one of them i missed the stairs and other one i had a slow glass etc etc.

Henrik, i got a slow glass, two back boosts from the guards behind crates, AND it took like 8 seconds for the alarm to go off between messages and i STILL got 4:04. However, Natalya did come down really fast. Thats why i got 404, and i left in BARELY 18 seconds, like 17.8 maybe.

I had a great run, Natalya was fast, and i left in somewhere around 18-19(Even though i have absolutely no idea how to you guys know when you leave, do you count in your heads or something?).

So yeah, i still don't understand why my run was slower?

well i use the VCR timer now actually. just hit display so it shows the timer and glance at it every now and then, leave RIGHT as it hits 18. Also, try to be throwing the mine on the mainframe as her last message fades, so shes as far away as possible and warps into the elevator so you can leave in 17-18 seconds. I dunno, sometimes the protection thing goes faster than others for me, its weird i guess. Just listen to the music and use that to tell how fast youre going, if it sounds slow natalya is being a whore.

Back when I got 4:14 SA I just kind of knew the timing instinctively. Every run I would do things about the same speed after Nat completing, so then its really only a matter of timing the 3-4 seconds I needed to wait by the elevator. Of course, on my actual PR, I screwed stuff up after Nat completed, so I think "prolly lost 1-2 seconds, so leave that much earlier..." and such.

I got a Train A 1:08 fail where Nat died in the outro... seems pretty low for a failed run...?

I got the "James i need cover" thing on both those runs. Not for long though.

Anyways, I'm having extreme problems with Natalya escaping. I mean, i think my normal entrence to the lift is around 19 which is similar to Bryan's 4:13's. Still i haven't had a single fast obj A complete the entire day.

Seriously, i must be doing something wrong? Cause 17 exits just seem impossible to me, and 19 works very rarely.

Try to have Nat's last message dissapear when you throw a mine on the MF behind the drone guns, this is to make the distance between you and Nat as big as possible before returning to the lift. Maybe for a 19 exit you could have time to run all the way to the wall behind the drone guns, if that could possibly make it even more likely for her to warp to the lift.

Though if you were doing like this already then you've been just very unlucky.

I seriously think that being as far away from natalya as possible thing is bullshit. Have anyone actually tried this and gotten more consistent Natalya's?
But still, even without using that trick she should escape more than once every 10 hours right?

And seriously, i played like 5-7 hours of Control SA today entering the lift around 19 every time and didn't get A SINGLE COMPLETION(WTF?!).

I'm really considering going to the nearest lake and throwing away my cartridge there...

No offense ryan, but i hardly believe that was legit. Bryans run was about as good as it gets up till the end, and he blew the glass. he exited a second or two later than he COULD have, but still overall it was very good. 4:13 seems easy if you leave in 14 seconds =p.

And Illu is right, natalya leaves faster if youre further away, i already told henrik that though. Maybe a guard is in the way or something. are you shooting at the desk till it is 100% gone? i mean all the blackened parts are gone too? maybe try throwing a mine on the lift door a few seconds before she completes to clear out any guard that might be standing around. also try not to even look at her as you exit, like dont even look toward her at all? you know how bryan goes down that stairway? do that but dont look at her. Id say keep exiting in 18-19 seconds, i mean she should complete once, or thats what they say anyway.

besides, there's no proof of being far away making her consistent. on turbo, her last msg is faded away before he goes down the stairs, and with that, I get good Natalyas EVERY TIME I time the end well myself. so why not backup something instead of trying to sound smart?

Sorry goose, i just thought that was a very bold thing for you to say you got 4:13 without blowing glass. I mean IDK, you need to study the vid and get an exact time on how long it took you to exit. with that information, i think i would have a better idea how "legit" it was.

to be legit Id guess 17 seconds minimum for an exit.
