yeah 0/28 but maybe others have failed it too and we don't know. There might be some glitch in the game that doesn't allow for FRs on really fast runs, sort of like how the game doesn't allow for a good trev on fast fac 00 runs.

Depot 50 x 3? Seriously? What objectives failed on those?

As for Statue, 33 total fails, that is pretty incredible, I guess there might be something we're missing here, like Wouter said I guess we can't just say 1/8 anymore. Although I would consider it HIGHLY doubtful that FR is less likely just becuz of a given pace, and while I don't know nearly as much about facility as statue, I don't think the 2 are comparable.

Maybe I'll go back and give 2:19 another shot

I could mess around with a TAS and see exactly when it's position is decided(though i already did that and it's after you save natalya, probably the very second before it appears). I think the most interresting thing would be the deciding factors, like your angle or position or something like that. THough i highly doubt it's possible to find a setup that makes it more consistent on console.

Somewhat interresting information on luck manipulating FR:

1: The timer is NOT finished when it's reached 0:00:00, it actually starts going upwards again to 0:00:11 before it disspears.

2: The position of the FR is decided between 0:04:05 and 0:00:00.

3: I haven't checked all buttons yet but strafe buttons + analong stick input is what changes it's position. Button's like R doesn't matter.

4: If you have an exact position and angle and do nothing between 0:04:05 and 0:00:00 then the FR will have the same position every time, any input between this time will change it's position.

I haven't checked this information with a diffrent run yet, so don't take any of this as facts.

However, if this is true for all runs then theoreticly it's possible to manipulate it's position on console as well. The only problem would be to find an exact position where you can be on all runs. Angle can be manipulated by using full lookup or full lookdown.

But even if this was possible it'll still be slower than the normal strats since you wont have any time to open the gate.

I can fail 50's 100 times too, just not with a valid throw.

I do believe 51 is a good WR, because it requires a pretty perfect run (Good lines, throw from far away and warp). I have never seen a 50 fail myself playing around tops 10 hours going for 51, even when trying to throw the mine from further away.

50 would be an insane WR on Surface 2, and if Goose doesn't get it sometime soon, 51 will stay WR for quite some time. It will probably require a boost.

51 was easy, I felt it was only a matter of time really, well you need to stay patient, but it's nothing else than patience when you can hit close to the comms tower every time. You can get bored and stuff trying for it though, it's not often I would be in the mood for playing for records on this level, so I guess 51 is ok.

That could explain how I wasn't getting it like 30 times or so in a row (bad runs included). I had some sick streak where I didn't see the FR. I'm too dang consistent or something with those inputs betwee 0:00 and 4:05.

I'll try check some more on this to see how big diffrences in position/angles you need to actually change it's position, if 1/128 is large enough then it's pretty much impossible to be consistent.

Otherwise i would suggest that the poeple going for 2:19 try out something diffrent during the last few seconds like a strafe change or very large angle shift.

My depot 00 agent fails had all objectives except B completing (mainframes). Well, 2 anyway. the other one failed just about everything.

Ive NEVER had a :43 fail on secret agent, but i have developed a minor strat change to probably have a better shot at it. Just gotta open a door faster or two. My :44 was likely :43 speed till i got stuck in the wall after the train shot, because even after that stuckage and a pretty gay safe room i had a mid-44 judging by the music.

surface 2 :51 is very easy to get, it just requires patience. The door warp is the deciding factor.Its so rare to get that mine landed in the right spot, or not landed sometimes. depends what you do. but i have my :50 fail on video with the coms equip damaged so when it gets captured youll see what i am talking about.

Yeah it's tough to call those legit fails cuz once you get out of the first room and B doesn't complete, you know you can't complete the run and thus the rest of the way, NO NERVES, and it's easy to do the rest smooth. I had 5 or 6 50s like that, it's A LOT different when B is completed and you're in the house on a 50 or 51 pace, and the train door opens and all you have to do is a good safe and hope the boxes finish, when you're in there like that you're not going to be near as smooth due to nerves. yeah exactly. I honestly dont think failing a :50 on depot 00 agent is impressive at all, unless you failed it because you pressed B on the safe wrong i guess, but even then i dunno, a failed run is nowhere near a completion. If you watched my :44 run youd be amazed at how my nerves ruined so many thing sin the run. But i got the train shot which usually offers the most problems so whatever. I had a :51 pace run ruined last night because that @#%$ table was absorbing the shots i was shooting into the ammo box. I even got lucky with a fast pistol and it still ruined it. I noticed that sometimes my pistol shoots fast and other times really slow. If you watch wouters run, his pistol shot really fast. Probably has to do with lag (the movements of the guards in the ammo room perhaps?).

I don't see why it would be wrong to use a computer to find out how the game works. And we don't have any real use of it so it's not cheating in any way.

Anyways, The only more information i could find on the FR is:
1: The position changes if you pull the analog stick more than halfway up the Y-Axis. The X-Axis is way more sensitive and no human can pull it so little that it doesn't change the FR position.

2: Buttons that doesn't changes it's position: Z, R, B(i think), L. Not entirely sure about A but i think it makes a diffrence.

go at 2:20 speed upto the FR, and then HAXOR the game by kicking the cartrige and Maybe... just maybe you will get the secret boost! (make sure you are holding the stick north-west and tapping A and L 14 times per second with full lookdown and left strafe). Secret boost should propel you towards the gate. now just make sure not to kill Natalia with your deadly speed and you should cake that 2:18 or so

making it more random wouldn't really help. in fact, I believe random is one of those adjectives with no superlatives, so nothing can be "more random" or "the most random" although that sounds like pretty cool words.

tapping A might help in terms that you're doing different stuff anyways, so yeah, I dunno

it isn't really random it just relies on however many amount of conditions in such a way that it seems random. I don't think true randomness exists, it's more like do you believe it's gonna happen since chances are so small you do the exact thing needed to get what you want.. but if you did it exactly right every time, you'd get what you want every time. I'm a random person that plays GE

thatd be 1:21 right? I think deaths take up 7 seconds if you click out as soon as possible. But it could take an extra second to get in the door making 1:22. I always thought 1:23 was a bad record though.

Anyway i failed :52 on depot 00A last night because i pressed B on the safe the wrong way :rolleyes
