Surface II 00A 1:35 - First camera only took five bullets, however the second took ALMOST TWO CLIPS, ruining a potentially amazing run. The second camera is just so damn ugly, i really need to go back and improve this.

Surface II SA :56 - Ahhh felt nice. Got a 57 before this because i messed a few things up and missed the warp on like 3 other runs one getting 57 with a missed warp, but i got it now so w/e. I dont understand :55 speed at all though. I cant seem to even get close to it.

Yesterday I thought that maybe I could improve my Silo Agent time (1.15). It was a long time ago I played that level. I thought it should be easy, but I guess I was wrong. Here are all the times I got in 8 or more hours of Silo playing:

1.25 x3
1.24 x1
1.23 x2
1.21 x4
1.20 x4
1.19 x6
1.18 x4
1.17 x3
1.16 x8
1.15 x12

and one 1.14.

I cut 1 sec from my former pr. I had chance of 1.14 on 4 or 5 of my 1.15s, but I missed pressing B or entering the lift smoothly. I got so mad and frustrated; Im quite sure I couldve gotten 1.13 on one of the 1.15s, but missed pressing B, then missed again, on the third try I succeeded pressing B and entered the lift just decently.

Im even more frustrated that it took so long time. To get 1.25 on silo SA took like 60-90 minutes. And that gives you more points than 1.14 on agent. And all my good control, jungle & aztec times took way less time to get. 1.14 on Silo only gives you 44 points! This was easily the hardest one to get for me. I guess I suck on that level. Or Im a bad agent player. Its my new hate level now for sure.

Im gonna take a break now from GE. Maybe Ill play some turbo or LTK just for fun, but I will not play on normal mode for a damn good while. All because of this Silo gayness. I almost broke one of my two controllers and I was thinking if I should throw the cartridge away. Anyway Im quite content that I finally got it, and I will not play Silo more this year.

It's actually one of my favorite levels, considering how fun it is.

I found it funny too, but not now anymore. Ive figured out that its one of the most frustrating levels of the entire game. Goose must be very consistent considering how much things can go wrong on that level. Anyway, I wont change my mind, Im definetely going to take a break of normal speedrunning.

Silo is the worst level in the entire game for consistency. You will never have two runs in a row that are good, EVER. Guards duck etc get you stuck on them, open doors slow, boost you when youre opening a door. Its one level i will NEVER go for a wr on. That and Facility maybe.

I would say Silo is one of my favourite levels, but there's a big problem on that level:

I miss the second stair almost every time on SA and 00A, if you don't get some guards in your way, someone will boost you

I suppose with all that effort sub 4:19 should have happened maybe, but control is such a hard level to get a clean run in, especially SA, so i totally understand.

When your in the top 10, nothing but a WR is acceptable in most cases. and when your 6 seconds off it, it seems like its inadequate

Dude, that totally depends on which level you play. I'd say if the number of poeple who has a better time than your own time is less or same than your own rank then it's a good is a good time.

Might not be entirely true but you certainly don't need a wr to have a good time in the top 10.

Yeah my S2 run should have been like 1:31 lol. It took me 4 seconds longer on the 2nd cam compared to most other runs ive seen. oh well, Im sure I'll go back and improve.

Started trying to use the Grenade on S2 for the first time. The 1:07 I got by running past the guards, turning around, and having one of them pull a Grenade. I want about 1:00.

The Frigate time was absolutely sweet. The last hostage escaped as I was leaving the bridge room, so I just went as fast as I could to the exit. I was hoping for sub 1:40, and 1:30 showed up! 29 and 13-second PRs moved me into 107th.

Well Alex i shoot VERY slow, i wanted to take it out with 3 or 4 shots, so i was trying to aim for the "sweet spot". I missed it of course. Next time Im going gung ho and just shooting like a maniac!

Bunker I Secret Agent :24

Finally! Fu.ck you bunker 1!!!! I got the first three cams in good timing although the last took like 3 bullets. Still went down the stairs in good timing though. anyway i got the last cam all nice and got to the glass door and opened it but then something bad happened as i got boosted right to the side of the glass door and my temper rose and i was about to start yelling random cuss words when a very nice guard who i would like to thank very much boosted me back to the side and over to the other side of the glass door! then i got another boost or so to the door and nicely warped it finally getting 24. ah finally good to have that over.

Very careful with the mine throw on S2, because I missed it once before when I got the nade. The Dam 00 time is so satisfying; now to survive with that much life, run all the way down the tunnel, and get like 2:15.

I'll be needing to revamp my strat to get better times on Caverns SA; I was hoping for around 4:00 with the run that got me 4:25.

Dam 00A - 2:22 (x2)
Wanted to get sub 2:20 after this, but most of the time, the guards didn't allow that. Got a 2:18 death, right before the 4th alarm. That was because I only hit the 3rd alarm with 4 soviet bullets. The guard tried to kill me and nailed me right before the tower with the last alarm.

Bah...i blew so many great runs last night because of the last cam ironically enough...took two clips and got 1:35 and 1:36 due to it. got 1:34 twice. first time got a bad nade guard who was way far out to the side and missed second cam with one clip, second time i took two clips for second cam and then missed warp badly blowing 1:33. Gonna go back and hopefully get 1:31-1:32 tonight.

Yesterday I played Frigate Secret Agent. I had one of my oldest prs on that (1.19) that only gives you 14 points; my worst SA level and 2nd worst level of all after B2 A 0.29.

Anyway I got a 1.16 fail (missed trucker bug) after 10 minutes. I said to myself: If I get at least 1.16, I will stop playing this level.

Half an hour later I got a completed 1.18. Only 2 or more seconds left to my target. And then 40 minutes later, I had the best hostages ever and completed in 1.11!

I cut 8 sec from my former pr! I got 1.11 on the 11/1. The funny thing is, if I had succeeded with the bug throw on my 1.16 fail, I wouldve stop. It was damn lucky it didnt complete.

My Frigate SA moved from the worst SA time to the 2nd best (after Aztec SA) I earned 63 new points; the biggest time cut since I joined the top 100!

Now Im definitely on the top 50. I passed Steve Foy & Tim ST Dubovsky moving in to 49th! I also passed the great Sterling Neblett in the time rank.

Special thanks to Adam Bozon for helping me understand more of this level. If it wasnt for you, I would never get this time.
Actually I think Ive played Frigate SA least of all levels, and now its my 2nd best SA time! I guess I had much luck, but Frigate almost only depends on that.

And later today I played B1 00 A and improved 2 sec, from 1.19 to 1.17

It took like 3 hours.

Surface 2 00A 1:32

Bad nade guard (was all the way over behind that little tower), but the cameras were AWESOME. second took like 2 bullets, first took 8 bullets. i had a 1:33 run before this that should have been like 1:29 lol. Got first cam in 4 or 5 bullets, second took one bullet third took like two, but it was ruined by the last cam which took a whole clip and a badly missed door warp.

meh, i got stuck on a guard on the 1:13 for like 3 seconds before exiting and had some insane hostage completion, got gayed out of like 1:10 badly, but whatever. 00A sucks.
